The Big Dog rope is easy to set up for recovery operations. Simply connect one end to an anchor point on the stuck vehicle using an appropriately-rated bow shackle (sold separately). Connect the other end to an anchor point on the recovery vehicle using a second bow shackle.
With some slack in the rope accelerate the tow vehicle up to 16 mph, then slow or come to a full stop. As the rope stretches it builds kinetic energy. This energy is converted to potential energy at the stuck vehicle. This potential energy generates force that will help propel the stuck vehicle toward the towing vehicle.

Hello neighbors. I'm Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at this high strength nylon rope, and it's a kinetic recovery rope. Now, folks, this Bulldog Winch Big Dog Kinetic Recovery Rope has kinetic energy and will deploy it and then built up energy to recover a stuck vehicle. So it's gonna be perfect for you, some Jeeps, cars, buggies, trucks, that kind of stuff, with a gross vehicle weight of up to 7,467 pounds. And what this does is it's going to stretch to prevent shock or jarring, which is very common when using a static tow strap or chain.
So the built-in tow loop here is gonna let you attach to a shackle or a D-ring on your vehicle. So I wanna make you very clear that the connection loop ends must be to an anchor point on a vehicle using bow shackles. Those are sold separate. They look like something like this. So the manufacturer says, never put this around a ball because again, they could slip off, hurt somebody, that kind of thing.
So you wanna make sure it's inside of a bow shackle, that way it can't pop out and hurt somebody. Now zooming in here, you can see it's a nice black nylon. It is 7/8" in diameter by 30 feet long, and it's got the reinforced stitched and it's got a nice little heat shrink protection over that. And it's got the nylon protection here on the loop end itself. Both ends are like this.
I just left everything wound up here for demo purposes to show you that. The maximum load or brake strength is rated at 22,400 pounds, and it has a stretch rate of 25%. It has a nice polyurethane coating on the whole thing here. That's gonna help protect the attachment points from scratches, all that kind of stuff. You're also gonna get this very nice throw in for free.
It is a camouflage mesh duffle bag. It's included for storage. You can simply put the whole rope in here whenever you're not using it, and then it gives you a nice little out of the way carrying bag for you to store it and then carry it wherever you need to go with everything.
