2014 Dodge Grand Caravan - Roadmaster Standard Magnetic Tow Lights

  • Removable Tail Light Kit
  • Bypasses Vehicle Wiring
  • Magnetic Mount
  • Universal
  • Roadmaster

Avoid tapping into your towed Dodge Grand Caravan's electrical system by using these self-contained tow lights. Heavy-duty magnets keep lights securely in place on your towed car.

Features:

  • Allows you to legally tow your car without having to tap into its wiring
  • Eliminates risk of electrical damage to towed car
  • Attaches securely with magnets
  • Connects directly to motor home wiring, bypassing towed vehicle completely
  • Has heavy-duty vinyl casing for superior protection of wiring
  • Meets Department of Transportation standards
  • Fits all vehicles
  • Includes 2 lights and wiring harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector
  • Length of wire:
    • Wire that connects the lights: 53-1/2"
    • Wire that extends out the back of the light: 243"
    • Wire with 4-pole connector: 35-1/2"
  • Limited Lifetime Warranty

The law requires that all towed cars have functional signal and brake lights in sync with the RV towing them. Most wiring kits require you to splice into your vehicle's electrical system, but doing this can void your manufacturer's warranty. Magnetic tow lights avoid this problem by having the wiring run underneath your car and plug into your power source.

These lights have worked flawlessly for the whole 2023 camping season on my RV towed vehicle. I mount them on the rear of the roof so they are nice and high above bicycles on a hitch mounted rack.

by:

Extremely happy with the tow bar wiring. Not one problem for the year!

Jeep

They were shipped fast and arrived quickly. These are quality lights with very strong magnets. I installed them on my Jeep in no time after making some steel brackets for the tubular aluminum bumper. Would be nice to have 5 or 6 magnetic clips to place along the wire to secure it to the vehicle. I highly recommend these lights.

Timely receipt. have not installed yet. but the instructions seem simple enough.

by:
2005 Subaru Forester

I like these lights, nice strong magets hold them securely to car roof. I use them because my bikes in bags cover my tail lights. I added LED bulbs because when I tow the car with my RV these additional lights put to much load causing voltage drop and dim lights.

These lights are still working well only improvement I could suggest is if they could somehow maybe put up plastic layer between the magnets and the roof because they’re taking paint off, if they could still make the magnet is strong.

Jeep Wrangler

I purchased the Curt Tow Bar with Adjustable-Width Arms - Car Mount - 2" Ball - 5,000 lbs. initially I was Leary of the product because of its low price compared to other tow bars. I now can say my concerns were needless because after flat towing my Wrangler over 5,000 trouble-free miles I have nothing negative but only positives to report. The best thing I like about the tow At is that it only takes 5 minutes to attach and unhook.

by:

Fast delivery. Did a test as soon as I received the light kit. Flawless. Magnets very strong but safe for car finish.

by:

Heavy duty magnets gave me the security of knowing they wouldn’t come off. Very easy to install!

by:

I did a mock-up set-up and this kit works as advertised.
Magnetic bases are strong, it should fit my needs perfectly.

by:

lights look fine....

easy hitch
is far better than I expected....very nice. I should have gotten this sooner!!!

by:

Very simple product. Exactly what I wanted. I need to do something more permanent but this worked for our trip. The most important thing was I needed it fast and I got it in time.
Friendly and informative people on the phone were knowledgeable and new their product. I will shop here again.

  • How to Set Up Transmission on 1985 Jeep CJ7 For Flat Towing
By some miracle I was able to locate the owner's manual for a 1985 Jeep CJ7! For models with a manual transmission and model 300 transfer case follow these procedures to get the vehicle ready for flat towing: 1) Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position to unlock the steering wheel. 2) Shift the transmission into gear and the transfer case into the Neutral position. 3) Turn the selective drive hubs to the 4x4 or Lock position for axle lubrication. For models that have an automatic...

  • Parts Needed to Flat Tow a 2017 Ford F-150 Behind an RV
You can use your Even Brake # RM-9400 with your 2017 Ford F-150. The brake light relay # RM-88400 will be needed if you are using anything other than magnetic tow lights such as # RM-2120. For base plates for the F-150 you can use # RM-524431-4. I do not know if you already have a tow bar but if not I recommend a non-binding tow bar such as the Falcon All Terrain # RM-522 rated for 6,000 pounds or the BlackHawk # RM-422 rated for 10,000 pounds. Non-binding tow bars like these mean that...

  • Can a 2014 Nissan Sentra be Flat Towed with All Wheels on the Ground Behind an RV
You can flat tow a 2014 Nissan Sentra with all wheels on the ground as long as it has a manual transmission. If yours has an automatic transmission then the vehicle must be placed on a tow dolly such as # RM-2050-1. If you have the manual transmission then you will need base plates, a tow bar, safety cables, lighting, and supplemental braking. For base plates you can use # BX1849. This set fits S, SV, SR, and SL models but does not fit the FE+ models. For a compatible tow bar I recommend...

  • Will Roadmaster Base Plates Work with a P and E Industries Tow-Me Tow Bar for a Geo Tracker
I was unable to find much information on the P and E Tow-Me tow bar so I cannot say whether or not that it will work with Roadmaster or Blue Ox base plates. I did find one person who said that the attachment from the tow bar to the base plates matched the Roadmaster products but I cannot verify that. What I recommend is to go ahead and get parts that you know will be compatible. Starting with the Roadmaster base plates, # 118-15, for an economical compatible tow bar you can use # RM-020...

  • Base Plate and Tow Bar Compatibility for 2014 Chevy Captiva
First, you'll want to positively confirm that the vehicle is capable of being flat towed. My research indicates the vehicle can be flat towed at speeds up to 65 mph, but you'll want to confirm this for yourself with your owner's manual or Chevy. The correct Roadmaster base plate kit for your Captiva would be part # 3151-1A, which is compatible with your Falcon 5250 tow bar. You'll need some other equipment to complete your towing system. If you don't already have safety cables, I'd recommend...

You will need base plates to provide an attachment point for the tow bar. The base plates for your Land Rover are part # 1910-1. You will also need to wire the Land Rover to the RV so that the tail lights work in tandem with the RV. There are 3 options for wiring the vehicle. You can go with a magnetic mounted light like part...

There is not a way to run the power to the battery for installation of the Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-88400 in your 2021 Jeep Gladiator. You will need it because your Jeep has a combined lighting system where the brake lights act as both the brake signals and the turn signals. The only way this isn't needed is if you go with a magnetic mount light kit such as the Hopkins Magnetic Tow Lights # C6304 or Roadmaster Standard Magnetic Tow Lights # RM-2120.

  • Recommendation of Safe and Economical Parts for Towing a 1990 VW Vanagon Behind an RV
There are 4 required components for towing a vehicle; base plates, tow bar, safety chains and light wiring. I will make recommendations for the 4 parts below. The first thing you will need is a set of base plates for the 1990 VW Vanagon. The base plates allow the car to be hooked up to the tow bar which is in turn connected to the hitch of the RV. We have one kit from RoadMaster for the Vanagon and it is part # 1208-1. Next you will need a tow bar rated for the weight of the towed vehicle....
