First, the Roadmaster base plates # 492-1 will only fit the 2-Wheel drive versions of the 2002 Ford F-150 so it will not work with your 4-Wheel drive model. For a 4-Wheel drive model that will allow you to use the Guardian Rock Guard # RM-4000, use # 456-15.
If you also need a compatible tow bar and the truck weighs under 6,000 pounds use the Falcon 2, # RM-520. If it weight between 6,000 and 10,000 pounds use the Blackhawk, # RM-422. And for 10,000 pound safety cables use # BX88197.
For a lighting solution you can use a simple magnetic kit such as # RM-2120. With this kit you will not need to cut into the vehicle wiring for installation.
Most states now require a supplemental braking system on the vehicle being flat towed. I recommend the InvisiBrake, # RM-8700, because once it is installed you will not have to mess with it again. If you do use this system with the magnetic light kit make sure to separate the lights ground wire from the 4-Way and attach it to the truck frame instead. The braking system requires a substantial ground on the light system to work properly.
Be sure to consult the truck owners manual as well for specific information on flat towing. I have included a couple of helpful links to the right on flat towing for you.
