Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Demco Easy Latch Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler for a two-inch hitch ball. Has a 10,000 pound weight capacity and a primed finish. Now this straight tongue coupler will let you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle. It'll provide the connection point for a two-inch hitch ball. And what's nice on this one, it uses this easy latch mechanism, which has this nice corrosion-proof composite latch handle that ensures a nice, simple, secure hookup and disconnect.

And what's nice about the feature is it'll let you hook up when your latch is in the closed position. You just have to drop the coupler over the hitch ball and the latch will snap it into place. You don't have to worry about always getting out, opening it up, closing it. And I just wanted to demonstrate that. I happened to pull, here's a two inch diameter hitch ball.

So you can see, if you just go over your hitch ball, push down on that. And just like that, you'll notice that installs, you're latched on ready to go, and you didn't even have to mess with the handle. Now the disconnect, you just lift up on it and it disconnects just like that and then push it back down and you're ready to install it again. And again, very simple, just goes over the ball, some pressure down on it and you're ready to go. Nice quick and easy connection.

Also, a nice feature on this handle here. It is a nice, sleek, low profile design. So it'll allow any hazards to simply slip over the top of the coupler, preventing any damage to the latch components. On some couplers, you'll notice they have the trigger latch, which is very tall, and it can get damaged or bent, which gets to be a hassle. So with these, it'll pretty much not get, you know, there's nothing to hit there.

Also, unlike most couplers, which have a pinhole on the handle latch, this easy latch coupler features the 5/16ths diameter hole here for the coupler lock on the side of the coupler itself. So basically what you'll do is you insert your coupler lock through that hole, and when you do that and lock it, it'll keep anybody from opening the latch, keeps it from lifting, prevents any disconnect and theft. Now the coupler locks are sold separately. We do have 'em on our website. The diameter of the lock pin hole that your coupler lock will go through is 5/16ths of an inch. And when you purchase a coupler lock, you want it to have a minimum span that's needed for this from two and a half inches. This is a nice sturdy steel construction. You can see it has a nice prime paint finish over the whole part. Offers excellent corrosion resistance. It is a weld-on installation. It is designed to fit onto a three-inch wide trailer tongue. This part is made in the USA. Specs again, the application, a straight tongue trailer with three-inch wide channel. The ball size it fits is a two inch diameter and the weight capacity is 10,000 pounds.
