I used this on 2 different size tires . 16 x 6.5 - 8 and 4.8 - 12 . The cover worked on both sizes of tire . A little sloppy on the 16 " but still a good fit . The 12 " tire was difficult to get on but it finally went on with a little persuasion . I'm glad I took the chance it would fit the 16 " .
These covers are the true fit for the 4.80-12 tire. The last ones lasted 10 years.
I bought this C.E. Smith spare tire cover to use on a 4.80 X 12 boat trailer tire. Fit is perfect. Quality is good, and installation was easy.
I bought the spare tire, mount and cover cheaper than I could purchase just the exact same tire somewhere else. I received the tire and it was very easy to mount to my trailer and the cover made it look very professional. Would highly recommend.
Cover fit my spare tire perfectly. My spare tire is a 4.80-12, I dont have to worry about having a tire baking in the sun and being ruined. I like having the piece 9f m8nd knowing my spare tire is in good shape.

Didn't fit the tire! Too small!
I honestly did not think I would get the cover to fit over the new spare on my utility trailer (would probably be easier on an older, less sticky tire). I even wrote to CE Smith asking for advice. Very impressed by immediate response from Lindsay who had consulted with a company engineer. The trick is to work slowly around the tire and get the elasticized edge fully around the tire tread. When I couldn't pull the edge any further I gently pulled with tape covered pliers and it worked. No fear that the cover will ever blow off!

The cover is holding up well. I keep the trailer out of the sun most of the time so that probably helps. The fit remains very tight which means very little water pools on it.
I thought I had reviewed it.
It would not fit the tire size that it was ordered for.
It was big enough after my wife cut the elastic and added another 8 inches or so to it.
Could not get it over the tire.
Not even close but fits now.
Bad product as delivered but seamstress wife made it work.
Fits perfect. Like the elastic opening. Fits snug. I'm using this on my spare tire on the utility trailer.

I was uncertain about what size and kind of spare-tire cover to install on a new trailer spare. I found clear information at etrailer and ordered. The purchased spare tire cover was the correct size as indicated on the etrailer website and on the product packaging. After a herculean effort to slide the cover over the tire the material ripped. I would suggest that others wishing to order this particular product order the next larger size and save yourself some scraped knuckles and much frustration.
I recently ordered new galvanized wheels with tires for my small boat trailer. They arrived in four days, fit perfectly and were one third the cost compared to a local marine supply dealer. Also, the tires were a better load rating than my old ones.

I have a small travel trailer and ordered a tire cover for a 21 inch cover. My tire is a 20 inch. I received my cover and went to put it on my tire, it would not fit. I am supposing my tire width was the problem, to wide.
Anyway I contacted etrailer and Mr. Mark was very professional and helped me to find the correct size I would need, and ordered it for me. Very good service. I highly recommend this business.

I ordered the cover for my spare tire on jetski. It came fast and fit my 4.80/12 wheel perfect. Tight fit so I know it won’t blow off going down the road. Seems to be good quality and I would buy it again if I needed one.
