Today on our camper we''ll be taking a look at, and installing the Camco Baggage Door Lock. Part number CAM44363. The Camco Baggage lock is the perfect replacement for your baggage compartment or any other place that you may need to lock on your camper, RV or trailer. It comes with a straight and off-set Cam so you can use it for multiple applications. Two keys are included. The lock core itself has a depth of an inch and an eighth. Now that we've gone over some of the features, I'll go ahead and show you how we got it installed. As you can see we're just going to be replacing our baggage lock.
First thing we need to do is unlock our cabinet. You can raise it up. We're going to remove our cam, here first. So we'll need a Phillip's head screwdriver. We can undo that.
The next thing we can do is go ahead and remove our lock. We'll grab an adjustable wrench, and undo that. Once you get it loose enough, you should be able to just take it the rest of the way off. Once we've got that off of there, we can simply just push it off. Just like that. We're going to go ahead and save our handle, because we're going to put it on our new lock. Now that we've got that off, I went ahead and wiped it down. It's a good idea just to make sure there's no grime on there, because you don't want it to get stuck behind the lock. Then we can grab our new, Camco Baggage Lock, and it's going to come with our straight cam installed on it.
We're going to go ahead and remove that, just so we can get the nut off. We'll take our Phillip's screwdriver, we'll just remove that screw on the end. Set our hardware aside, and we can remove the nut. Before we insert the lock into the hole we're going to grab our handle, and slip that back on, like so. Then we'll insert the lock, push it all the way through.
Then we can raise it up, hold it in place. We'll take our nut, and tighten it all the way down. Once we get that hand tightened we can tighten that down the rest of the way, with our wrench. There's no reason to over-tighten. You're just trying to hold the lock in place. I'm going to make sure mine's straight. With that securely in place, we're going to go ahead and grab our cam. We're going to go with the offset one here, today. You just need to make sure and choose which one works best for your application. We'll grab our star washer, and our screw. Put the screw on the star washer. Once we get that started we'll take our Phillip's screw driver, and re-tighten that down. Let's go ahead and try it out. Perfect! That's going to complete our look and install of the Camco Cam Lock. Part number CAM44363.

We're renovating a small vintage camper and both the baggage doors needed new locks. These did the trick with a little adjustment to the cams. Just right with a great price!
