Need a safe way for your child to get in and out of their bed during those summer camping trips? This sturdy bunk bed ladder bolts onto the side of their bed so they can quickly and carefully climb up when it's time to go to sleep. Because it has durable aluminum construction and smooth, satin anodized finish, it won't rust if the kids accidentally spill a drink.
The stepping areas are ribbed to give your child's feet some traction while they're climbing the ladder. If your kids forget to take their shoes off, they also help trap mud and debris onto the ladder so that their sheets won't get quite as dirty. And unlike other ladders that have sharp metal steps, the steps on this ladder are wrapped with nylon padding that will be comfortable and soft on your child's bare feet.
This ladder has a universal design because you're able to cut it to fit most RV bunk beds. Simply remove the rubberized feet and use a cutter or hacksaw (not included) to trim the ladder so it's a perfect fit. Then re-install the rubber feet, which prevent the ladder from shifting around while your child climbs.
This ladder is great if you have an oddly shaped bunk bed rail or if you just want a more permanent setup. Attach the included mounting brackets and hardware onto the top of the ladder and then bolt the ladder onto the side of the bunk bed.

Bolt this ladder onto the bunk bed in your RV or camper with the mounting hardware. You can also trim the ladder legs so it'll fit a shorter bunk bed. Rubberized steps and feet give your child the traction they need to safely climb the ladder. We purchased this ladder to enable my wife to climb up into the over-the-cab bed in our camper truck. A friend and I cut it to the correct length and mounted the "receiving clips" on the wall above the water-tank step. (We used slightly stouter screws than came with it, just for peace of mind.) Then the fun began. We had to change the angle of the end-prongs on the ladder's two rails to create-- exactly -- the correct angle at which to slide the ladder into the receiving clips. We used a blow torch to softer the prongs and many taps with a hammer to change the angle -- on each side identically. Now, a year later I am very happy to report that my wife uses the ladder every time to climb into bed. We put folded towels on the ladder's steps to be nice to her bare feet. To climb down without the ladder in her way -- since that's easier for her -- I remove it and lean it up against the under-sink side of the aisle. She couldn't enjoy our camper without this ladder. What a great product and addition to our home away from home.
