Surface-mount dome lights install using a flange or bracket with mounting holes. These lights lay flat against the trailer surface and only require a small, often pre-existing hole, for wiring. Mounting hardware is used to secure the light to the trailer.
Lumens are used to measure the amount of usable light that is put out by a light source. Raw lumens represent the number of lumens that the manufacturer claims the LEDs are capable of producing. It does not include the light's drive method or the amount of light lost from the lens or reflector. Effective lumens take these factors into account and represent the number of lumens that are actually produced by the complete light assembly, not just the amount of light that the diodes are capable of producing. This light has a 460 raw lumen capacity and produces 390 effective lumens.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today, we're gonna take a look at this Opti-Brite Red LED Dome Light. This is a low-profile, seven inch round dome light that provides gentle red light for your trailer's interior. And as you no doubt know, red light limits strain on your eyes in low light environments, and as you can see, I have this hooked up to power and have it on just to demonstrate the brightness. LEDs make great replacements for incandescent lights, they last 50 times longer and they're more efficient, providing brighter light with less power output, and what's great about LEDs is there's no bulbs to replace or no brittle filaments. So let me go ahead and turn my lights off here in my studio just to give you a better demonstration of the brightness of this light, you can see it here on my tabletop. I'm gonna go ahead and zoom out and then shine this on the wall behind me.
And again, you get an idea of just how bright this is, not the most attractive profile there, but then, you see just, again, brilliant color and very bright. I'll bring this back towards the camera. Now, this features a durable clear polycarbonate lens. The lens is over 39 red LEDs in a sealed waterproof polycarbonate housing. The effective lumens is 390 lumens and the raw lumens is 460 lumens.
Now, in case you don't know, raw lumens represent the number of lumens that the manufacturer claims the LEDs are capable of producing, it does not include the light's drive method or amount of light loss from the lens or reflector. Effective lumens take these factors into account and represent the number of lumens that are actually produced by the complete light assembly, not just the amount of light that the diodes are capable of producing. This also features a low voltage cutoff, which prevents battery drain by shutting off the light once the voltage drops below 11 volts. This is compatible with your 12 volt and 24 volt DC systems, and as you can see, this is a two-wire pigtail with 0.180 male bullets, and then, a protective casing that extends along the wires. So this is a surface mount light with this built-in flange.
I do wanna point out that hardware is not included, so if you do not already have the compatible hardware, that would be something that you would have to pick up separately. Let me pull out my ruler here. I told you that this was seven inches around, so let me go ahead and confirm that with you. It's probably gonna be easier to measure it here from the back of the light. So lining up my ruler there, as you can see, we are indeed at seven inches, and then the overall depth, we're sitting right at about 5/8 of an inch deep, and then the distance between these mounting holes, I'm just gonna measure across, we are sitting, center to center, at about 5 1/2 inches it looks like.
So you have three mounting holes right there on that flange. Now, there is a lifetime warranty on these LEDs. And that's going to conclude our look today, I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me.

Dimmable option is a great plus, have had no problems, will probably replace more fixtures in my trailer with these lights.
Exactly what I was looking for and needed.Replaced a dim incandescent light with an LED.
Light works great for low light and seeing around in the trailer when not using AC power. The AC lights are used when more light is needed. As always, etrailer

These lights have really improved the lighting in our trailer. The light shines on my counters and the lights are not the yellow kind, but more blue. These lights do not have on and off buttons so we have them where they are on with the wall switch. I will be ordering a couple more. Thank you
I installed 4 of these lights low on the wall to assist in lighting the tie down anchors and straps in my car hauler trailer. They are very bright and easy to mount with 4 screws. These 4 lights and the 3 ceiling lights that I purchased from etrailer.com work great in making an enclosed trailer very bright inside. The surface mount makes these lights AAA+.

I will be using these to replace 4' fluorescent in a 28' enclosed trailer. I have not yet installed them, however I connected them to 12-volt power and they are very bright. The flush mount design will make it very easy to install without any retrofitting or needing to do cut outs.
I used it in my 24 volt excavator as a replacement dome light.

Have not yet installed lights into a unit yet,but from everything we can see the lights are exactly the same as one's purchased elsewhere but at a greatly reduced price.
I never received this item and never received the invoice even though my C.C. was billed for its days ago. Not too happy with the service this time.

Added 4 of these during a rustic hunting cabin lighting project. These are for the shed and provide awesome lighting. I didn't realize the back side of the shed door was cream colored because we never closed the door before due to needing all the light we could get. Because it is a shed and we run these off of batteries I used a standard bathroom fan timer switch to make sure the lights don't get left on forever.

These are fantastic. Replaced two main lights, both controlled by a wall mounted switch, in our 21' travel trailer. The additional light from these is amazing. We can now see inside the cupboards and closets without needing a flashlight. Installation was easy and straightforward, just remember that LEDs are polarity specific. Also keep in mind that these do not have a switch in them, which is why I only replaced the two main lights. We like them so well we just ordered another to replace the bathroom light, also controlled by a wall switch. I would replace all the lights with these if they had internal switches.

The lighting in my cargo trailer contained 4 incandescent fixtures that had burned out bulbs most of the time. They never were really bright even when all worked. I took this pair of photos at night so you can see the difference. The LED lights burn cooler, use less of my storage battery charge, and the bouncing of the highway won't harm them. Well worth the price and an easy installation.

These lights are outstanding. They are slim design and bright. Easy to install. You do have to provide your own screws and wire connections, which does allow you the ability to choose what works best. Great product and highly recommended. The brightness is amazing for such a small thin light.
