Today we're going to be taking a look at the Valterra RV Blow Out Plug. This plug allows for easy blow out of excess water from fresh water plumbing before winterizing. It's made from a durable plastic construction. It's white in color, and it's very easy to use. It's designed to fit a standard city water connection. What you would do is you simply screw the blow out plug into a city water fitting on the side or outside of the unit, turn off your water pumps and drain the freshwater tank.
Then you'll need to open all the RV faucets and the low point drain, and when the drain stops running you can close it up. Then close all the faucets but one and apply compressed air to the blow out plug fitting until the water stops running. You would repeat those steps or that last step with each faucet and remember to close the previously drained faucet. Be sure to include the toilet valve by pressing the foot pedal or handle. After you've done this, you're now ready to winterize your unit. That's going to do it for today's look at the Valterra RV Blow Out Plug..
