Works perfect

Valterra: p/n/ A01-1120VP: I tested this when it arrived. Street pressure at my home is 70 PSI. This unit delivered water at 40 PSI consistently from drips to a healthy steam, to no flow. I experienced no leaks. (I did not measure peak flow, but it is certainly adequate for my needs (a camp trailer with sink, toilet, and outdoor shower.) While the packaging says it is lead free, the unit is made in China and bears a California warning that it "contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm." I don't know if that applies to the brass, other internal components, or the rubbery orange ring improving grip at the female end. A lot of stuff seems to come with this warning these days, including a potable water hose I purchased recently. Sigh!

We didn't have the opportunity to use this on our camping trip as there was no water hook up available. I'm sure it will be used the next time we go camping.

  • Can the City Water Inlet Be Bypassed On A Blocked City Water Line?
Typically there isn't anything in between the city water inlet and your hot water heater/appliances so you very well could install your new hose closer to the appliances/hot water heater, If you do choose to do this, I also recommend that you also install a water pressure regulator like # A01-1120VP. This is meant primarily to protect your plumbing system from potentially damaging water pressure. I have attached an FAQ about RV water systems, as well as a diagram for you to check out as well.

  • Does the Valterra Water Regulator for RVs have leaking problems?
I called the manufacturer that produces the Valterra Water Regulator for RVs # A01-1120VP and they verified little to no leaking problems. This Water Regulator is intended to filter the customer's water pressure from an external system to a more manageable pressure to prevent overspray in order to have more control of your water distribution.

  • Recommended Installation Location of Water Regulator
A water regulator like the Valterra # A01-1120VP can be installed anywhere between your camper or motorhome's system and the water connection from the campsite. As long as the water is regulated before it enters your trailer or motorhome, you will protect the internal plumbing from issues. I personally recommend connecting it directly to the water source prior to your hose so that your hose doesn't take the brunt of the high pressure and possibly have issues. If you run it first in...

  • Maximum Inlet Pressure for Valterra Water Regulator # A01-1120VP
I spoke with my contact at Valterra regarding the Water Regulator # A01-1120VP referenced in your question. She stated that the maximum inlet pressure for this regulator is 150 psi. I have attached a short video demonstration on this product that you can also check out.

  • How Do You Know If You Need A Water Regulator Going To Your Motorhome or Trailer?
The Valterra Water Regulator for RVs # A01-1120VP helps reduce high pressure water supplies down to a usable pressure for your RV. Most RV's are designed for water at a certain pressure, so having a water pressure beyond what your RV is designed for can lead to burst pipes, leaky fittings, and compromised appliances. Some RV parks use water pressure that is unregulated and some systems can have up to 115 psi which can cause serious problems for your RV. I recommend you control the...

  • Is Valterra Water Regulator a 3/4" Female to Males Connection like Garden Hose?
When checking with the manufacturer they confirmed that the Valterra Water Regulator has standard garden hose fittings. As a result the hose will be connected on the male end.

  • Troubleshooting A Fogatti RV Water Heater That Won't Power On
The Fogatti RV Tankless Water Heater # LSB64FR has a small on/off switch next to the exhaust pipe that needs to be turned on prior to use. It also has a small fuse below the switch that you can check if flipping the switch doesn't get the unit to power on. As long as you have the switch on and 12 volts running to it the remote should power on. From there the only issues you could possibly have would be the water pressure or gas pressure. Water pressure can be set to a safe limit with...

  • What Benefit Does a Water Regulator Give The User?
The Valterra Water Regulator for RVs - Brass - Lead-Free # A01-1120VP will filter your water input prior to your system. This will bring the water pressure from the external system down to a usable pressure so you don't have overspray inside your trailer.

  • What Is The Max Temperature That The Excel RV Tankless Water Heater Can Produce
The top of the Excel RV Tankless Water Heater # EX93FR is open so mounting it outside would allow inclement weather to tear up the internal components of the water heater. I recommend mounting it on an interior wall with plenty of airflow to get the best performance out of it. As for the max temperature, this unit will raise the temperature of the water approximately 35-45 degrees. That means that if the water coming into the unit was 50 degrees then the outgoing water would be approximately...

  • Does Valterra Water Regulator # A01-1120VP Install Between RV and Water Line
It really wouldn't matter as long as the part # A01-1120VP is installed on the water line feeding into the RV. Most would install it right between the RV and hose though.

  • Is the Valterra RV Water Pressure Regulator Known to Fail Over Time
We did have one person a few years ago let us know that their # A01-1120VP did fail at 6 months but we've sold quite a few of these without any similar problems. There isn't any way to test these before installing to determine if they are likely to fail in the future but I would not anticipate that being a problem.
