Recommended Installation Location of Water Regulator
Question:
Where is installation of a water regulator needed and can a swivel be added to make installation easier?

A water regulator like the Valterra # A01-1120VP can be installed anywhere between your camper or motorhome's system and the water connection from the campsite. As long as the water is regulated before it enters your trailer or motorhome, you will protect the internal plumbing from issues.
I personally recommend connecting it directly to the water source prior to your hose so that your hose doesn't take the brunt of the high pressure and possibly have issues. If you run it first in line you will protect all of your gear. This would include a swivel if you need it if possible. If the water supply won't allow connection directly, then I'd use a swivel prior to the regulator. If you are using a T or Y connector, I recommend using that after the regulator.
