Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the Valterra RV Starter Kit. This is going to be a deluxe kit. For those of you who are new to RV, it's going to contain a lot of the essential supplies that you're going to need to help maintain that RV. It's going to have two rolls of the septic safe two-ply toilet paper.
This is important because being septic safe, you're not going to have to worry about it clogging up your waste tank, it will degrade on its own. We're also going to get four of these pure power tank treatment packets. These are really nice. They help to break down the waste in your tank. Also, helps eliminate the odors that could potentially be in there, so they're going to help make sure that all of that biodegradable material dissolves in your black water tank.
They can also be used in your gray water tank, again, to make sure that everything is being dissolved like it should. These are very easy to use. You just take them out of this packet and drop them in, flush them down your toilet, and they will work their magic in your waste tank. We're also going to get a 20-foot long sewer hose that lets you drain your RV's tanks at a dump station. We do have one end, this is our bayonet adapter. It is going to secure to your RV's waste valve.
The other end is left open. You can use an adapter to get this to connect to the sewer inlet at the dump station. That adapter is not included, so you will have to pick that up separately or some stations may just have accessibility for just that open end there. They do include some disposable gloves to help protect your hands from any stray waste during that emptying process. This hose is three inches in diameter. When you have it completely compressed, it's going to be just under three feet, about 35 and a half inches long.
We're also going to get a 25-foot long drinking water hose and that's going to run our potable water to the RV from the fresh water plumbing at the camp site. This will connect to the city water outlet at the campsite so that you can fill up your RV's fresh water holding tank. This hose is 25-feet long, has a half-inch diameter. The maximum pressure for this hose is 160 PSI. We're also going to get a pressure regulator that's going to help keep high water pressure from damaging your RV's plumbing. As it's coming in, it's going to control that water pressure from the campground water supply to make sure that you're not getting too much pressure. It keeps the water flowing normally through your sinks and showers. It does have a pressure range of 40 to 50 PSI, so I will put that on our hose and our RV to make sure that that's all flowing through the way it should. We're also going to get this 30 to 15 amp power adapter. This lets you plug your RV's 30 amp power cord into a 15 amp electrical hookup. So if you get to a campsite and they only have the 15 amp hook up, you can easily connect that. Then we're also going to get our 32-fluid ounce wash and wax solution, the sponge, and the five gallon bucket that all of this comes in. We'll be able to use that in combination to clean our RV and protect the exterior finish. So, one thing I will point out, if you've not cleaned your RV yet, sometimes it can be difficult to reach some of those taller portions of the RV so just having the sponge, you might have to do some jumping or get a ladder. We do have some other options here at etrailer for different cleaning solutions, different things that you can spray on the RV to reach up on some of those taller portions. But overall, I think this kit is going to include a lot of the key things that you're going to need to start if you're new to RVing and getting it cleaned, making sure all the waste is taken care of, and getting your fresh water supply in. So a lot of the key features here. I would recommend this kit if you are new, you don't have a lot of these supplies already. I think this is going to do a good job of getting you started and ready to go. So that's going to complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.
