Hello, neighbors. I'm Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at this Camco RV Adjustable Screen Door Grill Protector. Now folks, this aluminum grill insert will install on your RV screen door. It's gonna add a layer of protection and sturdiness to the door and help prevent damage. So when people are trying to push the door to open it or close it, we know how kids are, right Or pets even on a lower screen door.
This will protect and prevent damage to the actual screen itself by covering the screen. That way, they can't push through. Now it does have these adjusters on here. You can adjust these in or out, and that will give the overall width of adjustment from 29 inches, all the way down to 20 inches. So it will fit a variety of different doors, and the installation hardware is included.
So again, if you have it up this way and you head them out, that would give you that 29 inch from top to bottom, and this way would give you that 20 inch adjustment side to side. Let me zoom in here so I can show you the hardware. You get these four screws that are included. And while I got you zoomed in, here's one of those slide outs. All this, again, is aluminum.
You can slide in or out depending on what you need, if you need to tilt it up or down to mount it. Whatever you need, it's gonna come with that included. Let me show you the backside of that connection point real quick. So it's a simple nut that's in the backside of that screw. That's what's holding that in place.
You would just simply tighten it on the other side with a Phillips screwdriver. Now, as far as some dimensions, folks, on the instructions that come with it, they call it a 24 by 20 door screen size. Now when I measure it, I'm actually getting 20 and a quarter edge to edge by 24 and a quarter edge to edge. So just keep that in mind, take it for what it's worth. That's what I'm getting on an actual outside to outside measurement. Well folks, again, I'm Steven. Thanks so much for your time. I hope this video and information's been helpful for you. We bought a new travel trailer, we have a senior dog that's pretty much blind who sometimes travels with us. This screen keeps her safely in the camper when the entrance door is open for air, it also protects our screen door. It looks great, like original equipment. Well worth the investment.
Another 5 Stars for e-trailer! Not only was it at a better price than the "jungle place", but it arrived in two days. E-trailer rocks! I'll install it this weekend keeping the screen door intact and the dogs happy! Thanks again, e-trailer!
This was shipped with a heavy duty jack that was also ordered at the same time. Packaging was not ideal and it was very bent and beyond fixing. Very disappointing.
I purchased 2 of these to protect my RV screen doors from my 2 cats climbing the screen and they work awesome. And they also help make the door more sturdy.
Highly recommend for all you RV'rs with pets.
Came yesterday - screws were a little long plus did not want to thread so had 4 #8 -5/8 self tapping screws - and they worked great.
This screen provides very good protection for a door screen. It is heavy duty enough to stand up under dog claws yet you can see through it very well. In fact our smaller dogs dislike the feel of scratching on the design of this guard so much that have quit even trying to scratch.
Make sure you check out the size and attachment surfaces. I originally bought the screen for a trailer but the screen could only be attached sideways which I didn't think would work very well. I hung onto the screen for a couple of years and was able to attach it properly to a new trailer.

screen protector looking and workin great a year later. I had paintinted it black and the dogs arent scratching the paint off
Install was fairly easy, however, supplied screws were 1/4 inch too long for my application. The overall design is poor as the screw heads are facing the rv door so if any adjustment or tightening needs to be done, the entire screen would have to be taken down.
These are awesome products!
Easy install on my travel trailer screen door. I thought the expanded metal mesh would be a bit heavier gauge, but this should still work to keep the Labrador from scratching holes in the screen.
The Grill was damaged in transit. I WAS able to straigen it and it was OK to use.

The screen door protector was just the right size. I just removed the slides for extension and I

Tearing up the screen in our RV when he is mad because we left him by himself for awhile.
Because of space limitations, I had to do a little modification. I wanted it on the outside of the screen because dogs would come up to the door and scratch to get in thereby ripping the screen. No more ripped screen. mission accomplished.
Very easy install and shipped fast. After installing this screen, my dogs stay inside and dont plow through the door or paw through the screen.
It did the job I had to work at the clips to get it to work on my door but every door is a little different and it wasn’t a problem it’s been holding up great no ripped screens for my dog
I have not had time to install the door screen so I cannot speak to that. The order process was easy and the shipping time was way above my expectations. The screen looks to be exactly what I needed to keep my Brittany from damaging my door.
