Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the Curt 1-1/4" steel hitch bar with the raw finish, 24" in length.Now this is for the do-it-yourselfer. This fabrication steel receiver tubing can be used to extend the reach of your receiver, or to create a piece of custom towing equipment, and is constructed of a hot rolled steel for superior strength, and is designed with rounded corners for greater versatility. Right here, this will accept any 1-1/4" by 1-1/4" ball mount shank. It does have the pre-drilled hitch pin hole, and if you notice they also include the 1/2" reinforcing collar for extra strength. It is a raw finish. It's ideal for welding.
This part is made in the U.S.A.And then just to give you some dimensions on this. The total length from this end to this end is going to be right at 24" long. And the width on it, overall width outside to outside, is going to be right at 1-5/16" by 1-5/16". And the inside is going to be 1-1/4" by 1-1/4".But that should do it. Took the Raw Bar and welded it to my M/C Trailer so we can haul our bicycles with us when we attend M/C Rallies, Amy E was my sales assistant. Very helpful and down to earth. I cut out slots in my trailer frame on the back end and welded this through several framing members to create a heavy duty anchor point for a spare tire or a small bike rack. It worked perfectly and I couldn’t be happier
This is perfect for your project that requires a 1 1/4 inch receiver. I used it to fabricate a mount that will be used to hold a small winch in the bed of my pickup truck. The winch will be used for dragging things up a ramp -- motorcycles, logs, etc. The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is the fact that the reinforcement collar has welds on only two sides; it should have been welded on all four sides.
