Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the Au-Tomotive Gold stainless steel GMC truck trailer hitch cover for 1 1/4" hitches. Now the hitch covers look cool, but they do more than just accessorize your vehicle. This hitch cover will help keep dirt from getting into your hitch receiver, and prevents rust, so that you can easily install ball mounts, or other hitch accessories when you need them. This one is an officially licensed GMC truck logo hitch cover. It's a chrome plated ABS plastic, outlines the logo and the faceplate. It's UV resistant, red and black painted lettering on it.
It has a polished stainless steel base, which gives it a mirror-like shine and resists rust and corrosion. It is a one piece riveted construction. No assembly is required.Basically this will just slide into your hitch receiver. Line your holes up here. They got multiple choices with the hole in your hitch.
Then it's held in place by a hitch pin, and clip for hitch lock. The pin, and clips, and hitch locks, we do sell separately on our website. This part is made in the USA. Again, the application is 1 1/4" by 1 1/4" trailer hitch receivers. Just to give you the diameter on this, it's going to be right at 4".

One wonders why all covers made for 1 1/4" with and adapter for 2" so there would be no need for 2 sizes. I attached it to my E Trailer hitch on my Corvette. Yes a tow hitch on a Corvette for bike rack.
This is the second time I have purchased a trailer hitch from this company. I only had to replace this product because I was rear ended a few weeks ago by another driver. The tow bar took all the damage and while it had to be replaced, it protected the back of my jeep from further impact.

I had a cheap rubber cover but it either blew off in the wash or got stolen. With a locking pin this one should stay put. Makes a nice little enhancement to my vehicle and shows pride in having served our country. Glad it arrived in time for display this "Veterans Day".
