Today we'll be reviewing part number AMG102202. This is the American Flag Colored Emblem for 2" by 2" Trailer Hitch Receivers. Its going to be a nice hitch cover. Has a really nice black powder coated finish over a metal construction so it's going to stand up really well against rust and corrosion. It's also going to feature a chrome-plated metal emblem. It's going to be rustproof and fadeproof emblem. Here on the rear of the face, it's going to feature a foam gasket that goes around the outer edge of the shank, of the hitch cover.
This is going to butt up against the opening of the receiver tube of our hitch. It's going to provide a little bit of cushion and it's also going to help remove any rattle or wobble that we may have from the hitch cover inside of our hitch. This is cover is officially licensed. It does require a hitch pin and clip or a hitch pin and lock for installation. This portion here is going to slide into the receiver tip of your hitch. You're going to push it in until you get your pinholes line up at one another.
The distance that you have from the back of that foam block to the center of the hitch pin holes are going to be 2 1/2". Once you have the pinholes line up with one another, you can install a hitch pin and clip or a hitch pin and lock. They are going to be sold separately. If you dont already have one you can check at our website for some options or you can go there and type in part number pc3. It's going to refer you to a 5/8" pin that comes with a clip. Once you have the hitch pin and clip or hitch pin and lock installed, it's going to be nice and secure inside your hitch. The hitch face is going to give us a measurement of 5" x 3-1/2" and this is designed to work with 2" x 2" trailer hitch receivers. That's going to do it for today's review of part number AMG102202.

Before I took it out of the box, I could tell that this was a high quality product. The colors are bright and the fit is perfect. The foam seal to keep water out of the hitch was an unexpected nice touch. It looks great on my truck.
Be advised, it does not come with any kind of retaining device, you will need a hitch pin to keep it in place. I purchased a locking pin because something as nice as this would probably get stolen.

The hitch is well made and looks exactly like the pic on the website, and the lock will make sure it stays on my truck...only problem is; they shipped the lock WITHOUT the darn keys! So....had to call the company to get the keys shipped to me...going to have to wait even longer to proudly display my American Flag...??

Hitch mating hole must be greater than one and half inch for cover to fit snug against provided gasket.
