Today we're going to review part number AUT-GMC2-S and this is the Automotive Gold Brushed Stainless Steel GMC Trailer Hitch Cover for 2" hitches. Now hitch covers do look cool but they do more than just accessorize your vehicle. This GMC hitch cover here will help keep dirt out of your receiver and prevent rust so that you can easily install your ball mount or other hitch accessories into your receiver when you need them. As you can see, it uses the officially licensed GMC logo. It does have the riveted face plate you can see right here. It gives your vehicle this nice industrial look and the way it's constructed if I turn it to the side you can see, they use a three layer face. The front and the back layers are stainless steel so they won't rust. The very middle is a durable red plastic and, if you notice on the front, they use a laser cut logo to provide well-defined lettering.
They use a nice UV resistant red lettering in there. This is a stainless steel construction so it does resist corrosion. On the back where the shaft is, it goes into the receiver, you can see it's a one piece riveted construction so there's no assembly required. When you do receive it, you'll get it just like this ready to install. If you notice on the side, it has multiple hitch pin holes to accommodate different hitch receivers so you just use your hitch pin and clip or your hitch lock to connect this to your hitch receiver. If you don't have one and you need to purchase them, we do sell them separately on our website and they are listed on this product page as a related product. This part is made in the USA and, again, the application is for 2" by 2" trailer hitch receivers.

Well made really stands out, stainless mount, plastic emblem sturdy, fits 1 1/4" hitch
One wonders why all covers made for 1 1/4" with and adapter for 2" so there would be no need for 2 sizes. I attached it to my E Trailer hitch on my Corvette. Yes a tow hitch on a Corvette for bike rack.

This is the second time I have purchased a trailer hitch from this company. I only had to replace this product because I was rear ended a few weeks ago by another driver. The tow bar took all the damage and while it had to be replaced, it protected the back of my jeep from further impact.

I had a cheap rubber cover but it either blew off in the wash or got stolen. With a locking pin this one should stay put. Makes a nice little enhancement to my vehicle and shows pride in having served our country. Glad it arrived in time for display this "Veterans Day".
