Specs:
The Sport Rider Special Edition platform-style hitch bike rack makes it simple to carry 4 fat bikes on the rear of your vehicle. This versatile rack is easy to use, and it features locking frame hooks and wheel hoops specifically designed for fat tire bikes, so you can quickly load and unload your bikes. An anti-rattle system tightens the rack's shank to your hitch receiver to prevent it from rattling around inside the tube.
The Sport Rider SE consists of a 2-bike base unit and a removable 2-bike extension unit, allowing you to use the carrier as either a 2- or 4-bike rack. The 2 pieces also make the rack easy to handle and install because you can slide the base into your hitch and secure it before adding the extension.
Locking, Ratcheting Hooks
The Sport Rider SE uses locking frame hooks to secure your bikes. The ratcheting, cushioned hooks easily adjust along the vertical mast and lock securely in place. The release buttons allow each hook to slide up the ratcheting arm for bike removal. The hooks function independently, which means you can position them to carry bikes of different heights.
Adjustable Wheel Hoops
The wheel hoops are wider than standard cradles and will hold tires up to 5" wide. These hoops accommodate bicycles with wheelbases up to 60" by sliding along the horizontal arms. They are secured in place with easy-to-use hand knobs, and the Velcro-like hook-and-loop straps fasten the wheels to the hoops.
The rack also comes with 4 sets of standard-size holders, giving you the option of carrying 4 fat bikes, 4 standard bikes, or a combination of both.
Folding, Tilting Design
The rack tilts, with or without bikes loaded, for easy access to your vehicle's rear cargo area. Simply remove the pivot pin, pull the bottom quick-release spring pin, and lower the rack.
The rack also folds up against the back of your vehicle when it's not in use. To raise the rack, just pull the upper quick-release spring pin and lift.
Tool-Free Installation with Anti-Rattle System
The rack installs in your hitch without the need for tools. Simply slide the shank into your receiver until the welded stop plate contacts the hitch. The stop plate saves you from getting on your hands and knees to align the pin holes while inserting the hitch pin. Once the pin is in place, attach the lock pod. Lastly, use the integrated anti-wobble handle on the front of the shank to tighten the rack inside your hitch receiver and prevent it from rattling. A second lever secures the two-bike extension to the base of the rack.
Complete Security for Bikes and Rack
The lock cores in the frame hooks hold the bike down on the rack and prevent them from moving. Also, the lock pod attaches to the hitch pin to secure the rack to your vehicle. These locks are conveniently keyed alike. For extra protection, the 8' long security cable wraps through the bike frames, connects to the hitch pin, and is secured to the pin by the hitch lock. The extension cable can be added to the 8' cable to help secure 4 bikes to the rack.
Add-On Adapters
If you want to carry both 2 bikes and extra gear, an add-on cargo basket (sold separately) is available.
If you want to use the rack to transport a kid's bike with 16" or 18" wheels, wheel hoop adapters (sold separately) are available.
If you want to transport 1 recumbent delta trike or 1 recumbent tadpole-style trike with the Sport Rider SE, you can use the HRTRK-ADP adapter (sold separately). Or if you want to transport 1 standard bike and either 1 recumbent delta trike, 1 recumbent tadpole-style trike, or 1 adult trike, then you can use the HRTRK-ADP-2 adapter (sold separately).
Note: The trike adapters can only be used with the Sport Rider SE's two-bike base unit.

Anti-rattle system reduces wobble and sway.Great rack for Fat Tire Electric Bikes. I transported 2 Rad Rovers and 1 Trail Viper from Florida to Michigan and back with no issues. The only recommendation I have is they should add a Tail Light option to the Rack since most vehicles brake lights will not be visible if you have the bikes covered. I added my own trailer light kit and it worked great. See Photo.
Easy to use and Very sturdy
I normally only use the double rack , But its nice to have the option to add 2 more bikes when needed. I use both the fat and standard tire loops. I prefer the ratchet straps on the fat tire loops over the Velcro on the standard loops. Tho Both do the job fine.
We were excited to purchase this product. After LOTS of research, this massive rack appeared to check all the boxes: 4 bikes, regular or fat tire, RV-approved, tray-style, hitch mount, well-rated and affordable. After waiting a month for delivery, it finally arrived.
My husband and I assembled it, not too difficult and directions were clear. We used it the very same day and headed north to camp for the weekend in the RV, 4 bikes included. Mind you, in addition to this rack, we own a Saris 2-bike hitch mount tray rack, and a "4 bike" (but not really) hitch mount crossbar rack, neither of which completely met our needs.
Though this rack seemed like it had it all, in reality the mechanics of it are cumbersome and difficult to operate. We are sad and will have to live with it at this point I suppose b/c I'm sure there's no shipping this monster back. I like the ease and style of our Saris rack much better; on-loading and off-loading bikes is a cinch. On the Hollywood rack, the M-shaped frame levers are EXTREMELY difficult to slide up and down, as are the tire trays to move back and forth. There is a great amount of finagling needed to get bikes on and off this rack. Though I am patient, my husband hates it, swears and expected greater ease for the money. Because the M-shaped levers are stacked, one has to be very planful about the order and direction bikes are loaded on to this rack.
If you don't need RV -approved, I might advise looking at the Kuat instead.
Bike Rack has met all my expectations with the ability to securely carry a combination of Fat Tire and Not-So-Fat Tire Bikes. Set the primary portion of the rack for carrying my Off-Road Fat Tire Bikes with the option of adding two additional bikes on the extension rack when riding with family and friends. Thanks!
Sturdy, stable, secure but pretty heavy and the hooks that are supposed to slide up and down to secure over the bike bar are difficult to slide. I never worry about the bikes once loaded, though.
I'm a senior e-biker who wishes to roll back the years, but that isn't possible. I drive a 2020 Chevy Equinox and have two electric bikes, which I had carried on a small rack. I saw the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes and resisted no longer. A few days later, my package was delivered. That night, I read and re-read the assembly instructions. It went together well, with no glitches. The hitch is super sturdy. No wiggle room at all. Once together, I loaded up my heaviest bike, mindful of using one of those metal bars for support since it's a low-step bike. (Remember, I'm a senior. Legs don't swing high like they once did.) Photos accompany them to show how she will ride. This will allow me to explore farther and go places I could not have before I had this rack. I like the ability to flatten it when not in use. This will also allow me to haul my granddaughter's bike together here in South Jersey or, as in "Toy Story," "To infinity and beyond."
Even though the rack is an import, I was well pleased with the ease of assembly and the quality of the racks manufacturing. I would recommend that you purchase one if you are in need of a 2-bike rack assembly. I also purchased the 3-wheeled trike rack and assembled it. I'm totally satisfied with both my purchases at this time
I love this bike rack! It came quickly and it was super easy to put together. I am a 66 year old female, and if I can do it, anyone can do it! It has everything that was advertised. It has the built in locks, which is awesome, and all the moving parts are easy to use. My bike does not move going down the road and that is a big plus for me! I did rap a bungee cord around my bike frame and the frame hook bar for my piece of mind, but it is not necessary. I highly recommend this bike rack.
I have a Dirty Sixer 36" wheel bike and my wife has an electric bike. This rack handles them both very easy. This is one of the only bikes racks the 36er will fit on. We are extremely happy with the purchase and will more than likely be purchasing another one in the near future. Assembly was very easy!!
After a rocky start, all is good today! Bike rack arrived quickly, and the etrailer shipping carton was in perfect condition but the Hollywood Rack carton was torn up and re-taped. Think I had been blessed with a customer-return, and there were parts missing. I made an inquiry to customer service, and had a call back within an hour (thank you Trevor!), and had the replacement parts from Hollywood in my hands by the 4th day.Thank you for the prompt attention, and quick turn-around!
This bicycle rack seems very well built. It was easier to assemble compared to a different one we had, and sits very securely in the hitch when tightened down. We love that all the locking mechanisms are keyed the same.
Received the bike rack today! Very nice & heavy duty. Need to finish assembling it yet so anxious to use. I have a friend that has a Hollywood Rack too, love them! Great service here and fast shipping! Would recommend for all electric bike owners!
This bike rack works great for our 2 Lectric 2.0 e-bikes. We mount it on our 2019 Honda Ridgeline. It folds up nicely when it’s on the truck and we are using our bikes. The locking mechanisms work well also. I contacted support for a smaller hook arm to clamp B over the bike frame. They knew exactly what I needed and shipped it - no problem.
Delivery was VERY prompt! Installation instructions were very easy to follow and didn't take long at all. Installed on a 2016 Chevy Traverse LT with a Reese Hitch 51083 (same as Draw-Tite sold here), the bike rack works as described and expected. With my particular bike, there is a MINOR clearance issue with my back hatch while the bike is being carried on the inside carrier but not too much to cause a concern for me.
Used the rack for two E bikes on a 4000 mile two month trip. The tack worked great. It is easy to load and unload bikes with just two straps and tower support. The tower folds down to make loading the bike closest to the car just as easy as the outer bike. I usually just line the bike up with the rack and then hold the rear brake so I can pull back on the handlebars to lift the front wheel off the ground and pivot into the front of the rack then lift the rear onto the rack. That makes it easy for one person to load a 50 pound E-bike.
The rack itself is rather heavy to mont onto the car but it needs to be to handle the weight of the bikes. Other than the weight it is easy to install by just inserting into the hitch receiver and it has a tension device so it doesn’t flop around when mounted. Overall a great product I am very happy with.
Only issue I have it lighting. With the bikes mounted it is difficult to see the vehicle tail and brake lights. With a cover on the bikes the tail/brake lights are useless.
I made a “light bar” that I can mount to the rear of the rack inserted where a red reflector is located. Hollywood now sells a strip light that gets strapped onto the bikes. I’m not sure how that would work with a cover. I think they need to have better options.
Easy to use and the helpful video guides show exactly how to do everything. The Hollywood SE was basically the only option that gave me the confidence to transport our heavy electric fat bikes back and forth between our homes eight hours apart. And they are also convenient enoughtonuse for a 20 minute haul to local trail. Great service and great product.
Works great for our two Rad-Bikes which are quite heavy with fat tires.
I've been using this bike rack alongside a trailer hitch I got here for my small car (chevy bolt ev) and it was exactly what I was looking to get to haul around my fat tire mountain bike bike.
Sometimes I throw two bikes on there (either an e-bike, slightly heavier at 60 lbs, or a 2nd mountain bike) and it's perfect.
We love this for our E- Bikes . My husband said once he figured out the parts assembly was straightforward . We used the rack for our RV and it was perfect . Very sturdy and adjusts easily to our bikes . We are very pleased with this rack and would recommend !
This bike rack is second to none especially in this price range. I MHO I think this item is superior to many other brands out there and I’m referring to the well known brands as well. I was impressed with the way it was packaged from the factory and by etrailer. The instructions were clear and it assembled easily. I took my time and probably completed it in under an hour. I didn’t think to take pics with the bikes on the rack but I wanted people with Jeep Wranglers to see how this looks. Notice that I also have a Yakima Back Swing on the Jeep as well. I’ve purchased things from etrailer in the past and can speak of the quality of the products they sell and of course the customer service.
THIS RACK SAVED OUR e-BIKES FROM GETTING STOLEN!
The would-be thieves cut the cable that I used to secure the bikes together but they couldn't release the locking hooks on the bike rack to be able to remove the bikes. The straps holding the wheels to the brackets were cut, but they really aren't necessary for holding the bikes on the rack anyway.
This rack is so simple to use and has performed flawlessly every time.
We've used it on quite a few trips, one of them was over 5800 miles in 3 weeks! 100% worth the price!
This rack was considerable less money than the other options I found. I was concerned the quality might not be adequate but I have been very pleased with the quality, stability, and ease of use of the Hollywood Racks
sportRider Rack for 2 Electric Bikes.
Caveat, I have only carried one ebike at a time on this rack but have used it in mild offroad conditions so I would not hesitate to use it for 2 ebikes on blacktop. I would monitor stability closely if carrying 2 ebikes offroad but it seems like it would be up to the task.
This Hollywood Rack is excellent! Thank you etrailer! The delivery was on time. And everything was nicely in the box. The directions are good but I watch the Hollywood Video on [online] and it was great. I am 62 and put this rack completely together myself. So proud. The rack is solid and holds my Rad Rover Step Through 1 perfectly. Now I can hit the trails and not just my neighborhood.
Overall good experience. Order was one day later than communicated and no email at time of delivery to say arrived.
No reference to part # I ordered on line (different # on outside of box) ; made it a little confusing as to did I get right rack for RV?
In the end happy with order and actual rack!
