What Do You Recommend for Transporting 2 E-Bikes and 2 Fat-Tire Bikes?
Question:
Hello. I recently purchase two ebikes that weigh 73lbs w/the batteries. I want to transport at least 4 bikes 2 ebikes @73lbs- 5lbs w/o batteries and 2 regular fat tire mountain bikes. I want to purchase the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack for 4 Fat Bikes - 2inch Hitches - Frame Mount to haul all four bikes but am worry about the max. weight. My two questions: 1. The max weight is 200lb so will this product work for my need? 2. If I am just transporting my ebikes @68lbs batteries off, will the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack for 4 Fat Bikes - 2inch Hitches - Frame Mount work due to it stating that max weight for 4 bikes is 50lbs each? HELP!

I have a solution for you. Unfortunately, due to the 50 pound maximum per-bike weight for the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack for 4 Fat Bikes # HR1400Z-FB, the rack cannot transport all four of your bikes. Depending on if your fat-tire bikes weigh less than 50 pounds, you will be able to transport those on the rack.
The Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # HLY84FR will allow you to transport any combination of 2 of your 4 bikes due to its 80 pound per bike weight capacity.
If you are set on transporting all four of your bikes at the same time, I recommend mounting your fat bikes on a roof rack and transporting your electric bikes on the Sport Rider SE # HLY84FR. For a roof-mounted rack that is compatible with fat-bike tires, I recommend 2 RockyMounts TomaHawk # RKY1222 racks.
If you need a recommended roof rack for your fat bikes, I would be happy to assist you with your provided year, make, and model of vehicle.
