It is designed to fit the 2013 RAM 2500 trucks and also the 2013 and newer Ram 3500 trucks without the OEM prep package. And on a custom fit part like this one, I do recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in year and model of your vehicle and it'll show if this will work for your application. Now the custom mounting brackets right here that are on the side, these are what'll mount beneath your truck bed.
And as you can see, they provide the attachment points for these 5th wheel rails. The base rails is what'll sit in your truck bed and they allow the installation of the 5th wheel trailer hitch to your truck. Now the mounting brackets which are on the side here, I'm gonna zoom in to get you a closeup. Basically those are custom fit mounting brackets. They're designed to mount to the existing holes that are in your vehicle's frame, you can see the holes there.
This will let you minimize the drilling and installation time is cut in half compared with universal bracket systems.
