Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Curt custom fifth wheel bracket kit for the Dodge Ram trucks. Now, this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2002 to 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 trucks excluding the extended crew cab models. And because this is a custom fit part, I do like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle and it'll show you if this will work for your application. Now, these brackets here are designed to mount beneath your truck bed, and they'll provide the attachment points for the fifth wheel rails.
Now, those fifth wheel rails, we do sell separately on our website. It does require the Curt fifth wheel base rails and the part numbers on those is part number C16104 or part number C16204. They're usually listed on this product page as a related product. Now, these parts here will provide a custom fit by mounting to existing holes in your vehicle's frame. Does eliminate the need for drilling and it cuts the installation time in half when compared with the universal bracket kits that are out there.
As you can see, if I zoom in here, it will include all the necessary brackets and hardware you need for installation. Comes with a nice set of instructions that'll describe how it all goes together. Now, the finish on these parts, they do use a black powder coat finish on 'em to resist corrosion. And these are designed to work with the BMW, the Curt, the Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, Reese, and Husky above-bed fifth wheel trailer hitches.
