Today we're going to be taking a look at the Custer four LED strobe light, or running light. The light's going to feature two main functions. Again, it can be used as a running light, or it can be used as a strobe light. We've seen these on trucks, trailers, semi-trucks, and some other applications. It's a really nice, versatile design. It's going to feature very bright light output.

It's going to feature four 4-watt LEDs that are long lasting and energy efficient. These are going to be white LEDs. Here on the back, you're going to notice the three design. It's going to let you choose when your lights will strobe, or remain solid. Your white wire's your ground, black is going to be for that constant light function, and then red's going to be for the strobe light function. Nice sealed design back here as well, so the unit's going to be protected from the elements. It's going to feature a durable impact resistant polycarbonate lens, that allows exceptional light transmission.

That's going to feature a nice polished aluminum base that's very attractive and durable. It's going to do a great job at resisting rust and corrosion. It is SAE and Department of Transportation compliant. It's going to come with a plastic mounting bracket, that's going to allow for a flush mount design. Your mounting hardware is not included, so that will need to be provided separately. Taking a look at some of the dimensions real quick.

We're going to go ahead and do the dimensions with the light on the bracket. If we start with the overall length, going edge to edge, it's going to give us a measurement of about 5 3/16 of an inch. The overall height, that's going to measure about 1 3/4 of an inch tall. The overall width, here at the mounting location, bottom of the bracket, that's going to give us a measurement of about 2 1/4, 2 5/16 of an inch wide, right in that area. The mount holes on that bracket, two mount holes, that are separated on center apart from one another, by about 4 1/2 inches. When it comes to the power draw, it's going to be 0.5 amps, and this is designed for 10 volt, to 30 volt systems.

We're going to go ahead and hook it up to power that way you can see what it looks like with some power running to it. We'll also be able to turn off our overhead light, so you can see it in a low-light setting. Again, white wire is going to be our ground. Lack is going to be that constant light. You can see here that it sends out a nice bright consistent signal, very bright light output. The multi-diode design really helps optimize the light output. Then we're going to go ahead and do our strobe function. That way you can see the pattern in there. Again, it's a very bright light. Clear lens allows a lot of light to come through. Again, you will need to provide your own mounting hardware. That's going to do it for today's look at the Custer four LED strobe light, or running light.
