Hi everybody. My name is Andy with etrailer.com. Today, we're taking a look at Coghlan's thermal blanket. This blanket would be a wonderful addition to any emergency kit, whether you're looking to put a kit together for camping or boating, or maybe to have an emergency kit in your RV. This would be great to have in your vehicle for roadside emergencies, especially during inclement weather, where you have to pull off to the side of the road and wait for assistance, or even at home, if you have an extended power outage at your home due to inclement weather. Again, this would be a really good thing to have just to make sure that you're always prepared, and then you have the ability to stay warm, when you don't have the resources to do so.

Now, this is constructed out of a aluminized polyethylene material. So it is really sturdy. It's a well constructed. It's very durable. I think it's gonna last a good long time.

And what I noticed here is the border here around the edges is it's stitched real well. So I think it's going to hold up over many uses. And, also a very nice feature here is this has grommets on all four corners of this blanket and this is going to allow you the ability to secure it to the ground or to use it as a temporary shelter or tarp. And so, again, these are just a nice option to have here with this particular thermal blanket. Now, the inside is aluminized and it's very reflective.

And just using this for a few minutes, I was already feeling quite warm. So it really does a great job in reflecting your body heat back to yourself. And then the outside is made out of, like I said, polyethylene, and I'm gonna try to kind of give you a walk around here. It is red in color. And so with that polyethylene exterior, it's going to be wind resistant and also water resistant as well.

So you won't have to worry about getting damp under this blanket. And it's going to make sure that you are staying warm, especially in windy conditions, if you are outside. Now, because of the grommets and because of how this is constructed, this has more uses than just as an emergency blanket. And you could use this for like a picnic blanket. Put it on the ground, use it as a ground cover and just secure it to the ground, using the grommets, or like I said, a temporary shelter or temporary tarp. You can hang this overhead using these grommets. So it does have multiple uses other than just being an emergency blanket. So again, I'm just trying to kind of give you an idea of the size. I do have the top edge here, fold it over just a little bit, but overall, the overall size is a 6 feet, 7 inches long, and it is 4 feet, 2 inches wide. So I'm about 5'9"/ 5'10," so this blanket would have no problem covering me up in emergency and keeping me warm and protected. So this is a really good option again, to consider.
