Note: Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.
This handy, 1-piece ratcheting clamp holds tools and equipment from 1/2" to 8" diameter and is easy to install on any flat surface on your vehicle or wall. It has a ratcheting dial that is easy to tighten, and it keeps tension on your equipment until you press the easy-release lever and loosen the strap. It's constructed of a tough, glass-filled nylon base and has a 36" long polyester strap that resists fraying.
The ratcheting strap system is easy to use. Simply press the release lever to loosen the strap, place your item into the circular tray, and turn the ratchet wheel to tighten the strap.
The ratchet clamp is easy to install. It has 3 pre-drilled holes in the base of the unit. Use (3) #10 bolts or screws (sold separately) to mount the clamp to any flat surface.
If you need to mount a long piece of equipment - such as a high lift jack, shovel, or ax horizontally - you can use 2 ratchet clamps (additional ratchet clamps sold separately). You can also use roll bar mounts (sold separately) to mount the ratchet clamp on a roll bar.

What's up everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be checking out the Quick Fist Ratchet Clamp. This is gonna be a way to keep things to the wall, in your trailer, so we have it in an enclosed trailer today. We ratchet strap it tight, this fire extinguisher sitting on the ground, but now we don't have to worry about it falling over or falling down. Let's check it out. Right away, we're gonna show you how it works.
You're gonna push this, it's gonna release the strap. It's gonna get far more slack in it. Now it doesn't completely come out of the track. It's got this button that keeps it in there. So you're gonna have this loop to work with when you go to set the item in there.
So with the fire extinguisher put in place, you can pull this strap tight to it from the get go, then we'll come over here and there's a dial. I'm just gonna turn this and it'll ratchet. That way it's holding it tight up to the wall. They have a nylon webbing strap, much like a seatbelt, is what's gonna be holding the objects towards the wall. Works really well.
You can see all the webbing in there. So it definitely has, the strap is not just gonna rip on you really easily. The strap specifically can handle up to half inch to eight inch diameter objects. It's gonna be an inch and a half wide and 36 inches long. It's gonna have a working load limit of 500 pounds and a brake strength of 2000 pounds.
Hit the lever, we're gonna release the strap, then remove the fire extinguish. With the fire signature removed, you can see the padding here. This groove's gonna be good when you go to put your item up to it and especially if you're rationing it down. Now this is not gonna scratch anything if it doesn't hit the rubber portion, but it's better to be safe, plus pulling it so tightly to there, it's gonna keep it from rattling as well. When it goes to installing, it's pretty easy. You're gonna have three holes. They're all two and a half inches apart from each other, so you're gonna need that spacing wherever we put it. So we're moving it up the wall on the enclosed trailer. We're gonna start with the center one. Put it against there. Push it in place. We're gonna run our first one in. (drill buzzing) Grab it there and then we're gonna put one here and then you gonna loosen the strap and pull it out and put the last one there. (drill buzzing) Now we've mounted up a little bit higher, so we're gonna hold things up off the ground. It's gonna be a smaller fire extinguisher, but it works the same way. Just pull that strap tight and then turn the wheel to secure it. Showing it used with a shovel as well. So these can be a little bit heavier top side, but this still works. With the smaller diameter, you can ratchet it into place. And it'll hold it there. Overall, I did like the way this secures the objects, was really easy to use. I will say the bigger diameter objects, like the full fire extinguisher did make it a little hard to get to, the hand knob to turn that to make sure it's super tight, but it wasn't too bad with it on the ground. It worked with a bunch of different objects we tried it on today and I do trust that this isn't going where when I'm going down the road and that's really what it's all about. I currently have a set on my Yamaha 450 Kodiak and have been using them to secure a shovel and pulaski and they have worked great for years. I went to my local parts house to get another set and they could not obtain anymore.
When I found them on etrailer not only were they what I was looking for but you have the best price out there.
5 stars on loan. the product seems to be sturdy. i havnt mounted them yet so we shall see. i was disappointed in that the mechanism is all plastic, but ive seen plastic devices i knew weren’t sturdy and lasted for years. i plan on using 2 straps to mount an axe and a pick so about 15-20lbs. ill update my review in a couple weeks after an off road journey and ill let you know how they hold up.
