  • CURT
  • No Converter

Quickly and easily install a 4-way trailer connector on your Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with this custom harness. T-connector plugs directly into 7-way OEM tow package wiring harness - no cutting, splicing or tapping required.

Features:

  • Provides a 4-way flat trailer connector at the back of your Chevrolet Silverado 2500 to power your trailer's signal lights
    • Designed for use with a factory tow package that has a 7-way connector
    • Retains 7-way connector functionality
  • Connects quickly and easily - no cutting or splicing of wires
    • Locate connection points behind rear bumper
    • Plug in T-connector
  • Comes with dust cap for 4-way flat connector
  • Limited 1-year warranty

Installation

This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your Chevrolet Silverado 2500's factory tow package wiring harness, which is located behind the rear bumper. Simply plug the harness in-line with your existing 7-way wiring harness.

Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed beneath your Chevrolet Silverado 2500, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.

It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

Quick & easy trailer wiring harness replacement . took less than 15 minutes

1 year &amp still works great, very easy plug &amp play setup. I recommend putting a small amount of white lithium grease on those connecting, helps protest against rusting.

Top quality trailer hitch at a very reasonable price!
Chevy 2500 HD 2005 Duramax

by:

Yup. Still works after a year in operation. The only thing I am unhappy with is my vehicle thinks there is always a trailer connected and the backup sensors and side sensors are automatically disabled.

by:

This product was exactly what was portrayed on line. Wiring harness was very simple to install and works extremely well.

by:

Works well easy plug and play

by:

When I finally installed it about 3 months ago, the plug in connectors did not match what I had on my truck. I ended up just cutting them off and splicing them into the connector from my truck

2018 Dodge Ram Pickup

I installed my Curt T-Connector today to my 2018 RAM 1500 Sport 4x4 Crew Cab. The mileage on the truck is at 10679km's. Although warned that the spare tire might require removal (via web site info from fellow RAM owners) that was not the case as there was enough room to remove the OEM connector (which is the short end of the assembly) from the factory housing. The actual disconnect and re-connect took only a couple minutes. I spent a about 15 or 20min's trying different wiring run routings for the aux. four connector plug wiring run. Some tie-wraps where installed to snug things up out of the way and I was done. I also dosed the connections with a shot of Krown 77 lube/rust inhibitor. I'm in the "Great White North" so salt use on roads is a given during the winter months. A quick test run of the lights and I was done. The build quality of the T-Connector is very good..equal to OEM or better I'd say.

No issues thank you

I wanted to ask if your 2001 Chevy Silverado came with the tow package? Did you already have a factory seven way? If not, the part # C59236 would be the better fit.

Fast delivery, and easy to find products. Second trailer hitch I bought from e-trailer. Great products

by:

Awesome!! I bought an OPT7 triple LED light bar for my Chevy Colorado and I didn’t want to splice wires or lose a whole lot of time trying to figure out how to wire it up so I googled and I came across a gentleman who used this product and Im very thankful for this connection and my light bar works smoothly and I have full use of the reverse camera AND I don’t have any wire mess outside or underneath my truck! Easy to install, my first time doing this and it literally took me about 2 minutes, if that! Definitely would recommend this product to anyone with a truck!! Thank you guys!!

Was exactly as stated in description. Just unplugged old plug and plugged in new one. I had two plugs to replace and added an extra "T" plug for another 4 prong. It only took less than 15 minutes to install all 3. Customer service is wonderful. Everything I have bought from ETrailer is top notch and delivered on time or earlier.

  • How to Hook Up 3rd Brake Lamp on Aftermarket Roll Bar
A company that installs truck bed camper shells would know more about this, but I'd be happy to provide what help I can. A T-Connector like # C55384 wouldn't work because the brake lamp signal is carried on the same circuit as the turn signals which would cause the 3rd brake lamp to blink with the turn signal. You'll have better luck finding the circuit that feeds the CHMSL or 3rd brake lamp. The easiest way to do this is to gently remove the existing 3rd brake lamp and use a circuit...

  • Easy Way to Wire Lighting of B&W Headache Rack to Truck Trailer Wiring
The B&W Custom Headache Rack w/ LED Brake, Turn, Tail Lights # BWPUCP7500WA that you referenced uses standard 4-way wiring to power the lighting functions. So what you can do is install the # C55384 behind the 7-way of your truck and then wire a 4-way part # HM38134 to the headache rack and you'd have a very easy to install wiring setup.

  • Recommended Wiring Harness For Slide-In Camper On 2011 Ford F-250 With 7-Way
If you just need a 4-way trailer connector for the slide-in on your 2011 F-250 you can use part # C55384. This plugs inline with the wiring under your truck for the 7-way. If you are wanting a 7-way connector for your slide-in I recommend part # 41157. This also plugs into the 7-way wiring on your truck. When working with electrical connectors I recommend using dielectric grease like part # 11755. This keeps dirt and moisture out of the electrical connections and helps prevent corrosion.

  • Trailer Running Lamp Circuit of 2018 Chevy 2500 Not Working At Trailer Connector
Lets begin with the non-functional trailer running lamp circuit. I'd suspect a fuse in the engine compartment fuse block in location # 15. Replace the fuse but before plugging the trailer back in, you'll want to closely examine the running lamp circuit on the trailer and its trailer connector to locate the short and repair it or you continually blow fuses. This could be an intermittent problem caused by a loose connection or some cracked or worn wire insulation on the wire in the running...

  • Finding The Correct Wiring Harness For A 2017 Ford Explorer Base Model
It looks like you have already tried installing a wiring harness like the Curt # C56172. The fact that it is not fitting could mean a few things. Firstly, the factory connector should not be hanging empty. It would be plugged in to the other end and you would have to unplug the factory connector to add in the T-harness. So it is possible you are trying to connect to the wrong plug. I have linked our install video below. If you fast forward to about the 1:20 mark you can see the factory...
