Today we're going to review part number 8419DPF. This is the Master Lock vinyl coated Python Adjustable Cable Lock. It is six feet in length. This heavy duty cable lock will prevent theft of your gear. It works on power tools, ladders, grills, lawn mowers and many other items. It has an adjustable length to any position from six inches all the way up to six feet.
The locking mechanism right here will slide along the cable and holds in any position. You can see the one end of the cable has a rotating end on it right there. The four pin lock cylinder right here resists tampering, has an ABS plastic lock body and the cable itself is a cut resistant braided steel cable which is very durable. And the cable has a vinyl coating that helps prevent scratching of any of the items you're tying down and helps prevent the cable from rusting. There's a Velcro strap right here keeps the cable tangle free when it's not being used, when you're storing it and the two keys are included. Basically just to show you how this will work, we'll unwrap the Velcro strap. When we do that it does stay attached to the one side and you can see that you get as much cable as you need. And then to lock it basically right now it's in the lock position.
You can just slide your end all the way through there and pull it as tight as you need to around your items and then sets into lock position. You can see that it won't come out this way and then you can just keep pulling it tighter as much as you want. If you need to unlock it, what you do is just put the key in. Once you put the key in you can only turn it one way which would be that way, it goes a quarter of a turn. Then you can slide the whole thing out. Now with it unlocked the key will not come out, it will stay in place to prevent you from losing the key.
So you can turn it to lock it and then pull your key out and then with this locked, again you just wrap this around the items you want to secure. Again push this cable right through just like that and then it won't come out the other way. And again you just pull as tight as you can. It will adjust anywhere from six inches to six feet. Again the cable length on this is six feet long the diameter of the cable is five sixteenth in diameter. That should do it for the review on part number 8419DPF, the Master Lock vinyl coated Python Adjustable Cable Lock six feet in length. .

I use this cable lock when we are in remote locations to secure our surge protector.
Purchased a pair of these cable locks. I use them to secure items in the bed of my truck - cooler, etc. I also use one to secure my kayak carrier to a fence or whatever at our launch point. I keep them stored in my truck and have worked great.

The Let's Go Aero Veeme V2 bike rack works well. On both my truck and on our rv using a Stromberg Carlson bike bunk. Great products. The rack holds the bikes with no damage to the frame or paint. The python cable lock works well. I did have to enlarge the holes in the bike rack for the cable. Very easy and safe way to carry our new bikes. Thanks for all the expert advice.

This is a good, sturdy lock--I particularly like the cinch feature. There is no cover for the keyhole, so moisture and dust could be an issue down the road. I bought it for the Aero Vee Mee V2 bike rack, but the cable doesn't fit through the lock holes on that rack (just FYI).
Great quality product and great service. There was an issue with the order and received a phone call from eTrailer customer service to make sure I was aware. The issue (my fault) was quickly fixed and the 13 locks were still delivered in a timely manner. I will be using the locks to secure very expensive ice chests to the bed of pickups. One thing that I found after having them in my hand is that the cable can be easily replaced in the event that it gets damaged or if I need a different cable length.
I am happy with my purchase. It does what I want to secure my removable 5th wheel hitch to the the truck.
