But I've wanted one of these for a long time now as the 50 amp plug sticks straight out from the receptacle. Always thought this was a dumb design as it puts a lot of stress on the plug and cord. The prices are starting to look more attractive so I decided to bite the bullet and get one.
Just what I needed to take the stress off of my trailer electrical hookup. Heavy duty and well made.
This does all that I hoped for. It’s a solid connection to the 5th wheel. It doesn’t torque the connection with the weight of the cord sticking straight out,

The locking ring for the connection to the 5th wheel broke on our first outing I think. The unit was replaced and has worked as good as hoped since. After having this for a while now we have to be careful not to cross thread it. Maybe it could use a more course thread on it. Beyond that it works great and no stress on the sidewall.
I bought it to provide strain relief for my RV power cord. It works well, except the locking ring can be frustrating (sticky and/or cross threading).

It works fine, but as when new, the lock ring could be improved.
The elbow connector is doing it’s job. Much easier to connect to the side of our travel trailer than the straight cord connection that came with it. Extends the original cord by 2 feet and relieves the stress on the connection on the side of the trailer. Working well

No problems. Doing the job it is designed for. Working better than new the few rough edges worn off, broke in well!
I got this to take the stress off the connections from the hose diameter 50 amp cord. It appears to be very heavy duty and it's nice to have the cord drop straight down instead of sticking straight out and then curving down.

Still doing a great job a year later...I highly recommend this addition to your power cord collection.
As full timers we got the power grip because we had noticed that the heavy 50 AMP power cord was putting extra wear on the power inlet on the trailer. The solution was this power grip adapter! It is as easy to use the our current cord, and with the 90 degree offset the extra strain on the power input was gone. I would buy again, and recommend it for anyone that is look to keep the power cord and trailer in the best shape for continuing use, with the least amount of work.
WORKS GOOD ON THE POWER CORD
Really like this pigtail for my Solitude S- Class 3640GK . The one thing I did not like about the cord Grand Design sends with its units is that there is a lot of pressure on both the outlet and the plug as pictures will show . Only thing I would suggest is the the plug be all black
It's what I was looking for, something to take the stress off the rv's connection.
This 90 degree plug works great it keeps from putting stress on your cord that plugs into the camper.

Still working great, relieves the stress on the wires.
Product is as described. It is well built and will fit my need to convert my 50A shore power cable (for an RV camper) to a 90 degree connection at the 50A input plug on the side of the RV. I will put it to use regularly.

Flawless
We used it for the 1st time last weekend. It seems to make a big difference on the strain to the factory outlet on the trailer. The original set up was plugging the heavy 50amp cord directly into the side of the trailer. This 90? puts all the load pulling straight down, placing the load on all four mounting points on the plug instead of just 2.

good product. etrailer customer service was excellent: Vanessa was very patient with me as I determined that the socket on my Montana had been mis-installed. I originally thought the Camco adaptor was defective because the ground plate wasn't on top. Turns out the inerds of the socket in my Montana had been installed 120 degrees out of position which would have caused the cord to point upward....

Works perfectly. Glad I bought it. Eliminates torque on the RVs electrical supply receptacle.
After seeing this on a 5th wheel that came into the campground several of us looked and saw that this would help keep our cable from degrading any faster than they were. I ordered five for myself and co-campers and none of us have experienced any issues with this product. We used them four months last year and will use them for six this year. Great product, great support from etrailer both sales and service.

I like the concept, but the retaining ring that into the coach broke on the second outing (about a month from when we got it).
I cannot recommend this.

I am sorry to hear that the retaining ring had broken on the power cord so quickly. The cord does have a one-year warranty and I have sent you the warranty return instructions in a separate email.
Product is perfect. Cost is high. ETA is excessive.

We have used it many times over this past year and so far I am happy with it. There is one glitch and that is the locking collar. It is plastic and for some reason it is challenging to get it started on the treaded outlet connector. Now this is plastic also so maybe its the combination of the two that makes it difficult to start. I wish both threaded pieces were made out of stainless steel instead of plastic.
