Today we're going to be taking a look at part number EM06624. This is the Erickson bungee cord with coated steel hooks. It's going to have an unstretched length of about 24 inches and a cord diameter of about 8 millimeters. Now bungee cord tie downs are great to have on hand. They're going to be ideal for securing lightweight items on your cargo carrier or roof rack or in your truck bed or trailer. It's going to have a nice, stretchable construction.
It's going to allow the cord to adjust and stretch to the size of your cargo. Now you're going to have the coiled ends that go into the sturdy, steel hook. Now these are going to be coated so again, they're going to help prevent scratches on your gear or vehicle or trailer. Then you're going to have the rubber boot or rubber protector on the end of the hook. That's going to help prevent scratches or scraping. Now the unstretched length of the cord is going to be 24 inches.
Usually bungee cords can stretch about half of their unstretched length, so the 24 inch cord can stretch up to about 36 inches. Again, it's going to have an 8 millimeter diameter and with this part number, you're going to get one bungee cord. That's going to do it for today's review of part number EM06624.
