Will Curt Cargo Carrier Work With 2019 Subaru Crosstrek OEM Trailer Hitch
Question:
With the Curt 1 1/4 inch hitch cargo carriers be safe to use with the Subaru OEM hitch.

Based on my research the 2019 Subaru Crosstrek has a Class I hitch with a 1-1/4 inch receiver so you will need to use a cargo carrier that is Class I compatible and there are a pair of these from Curt, part # C18110 and part # C18145.
Of the two I recommend the Curt Cargo Carrier # C18110 because it has a larger usable space to carry cargo, gives you a shank with a 3-3/4" rise for added ground clearance and the closest part of the carrier is more than 11 inches from the center of your Subaru's hitch pin hole, giving you the most bumper clearance.
The carrier has dimensions of 47-3/4" long x 19-11/16" wide x 2-11/16" tall and holes in the sidewalls that act as tie-down points. A great option to carry cargo with this carrier is by adding the etrailer Cargo Bag # e98990 which fits neatly in the Curt Cargo Carrier and gives you up to 9 cubic feet of storage.
Another option is to keep your gear in place with the 44" long x 38" wide Curt Stretchable Cargo Net # C18200, which would be best used for taller gear that it can stretch around. There are also Bungee Cords such as the 18" Erickson # EM06918 or 24" Erickson # EM06624.
I have added links to video reviews of the cargo carrier and cargo bag for you to take a look at as well.
