Michael: Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com Today we're going to take a quick look at this Jif Marine Folding Deck Ladder. This ladder is going to provide four steps for you, as you are getting back into your boat after swimming or skiing, whatever it is that you're doing out on the water. This does have an overall height of 43 inches, which is about three and a half feet from our bottom step here up to our deck height. It's about three feet, just a couple inches over three feet. So it's going to give you plenty of room to climb up, get back into the boat. Our overall width, we're looking at about 15 and a half inches from one side of the step to the other.
So it's not going to take up much room. You're still going to have plenty of room for your motor and things like that. This is going to be very easy to store because it's got a folding design. So very simple, just lift up on that bottom portion there, you can see this does have a snap closure to keep that bottom portion from coming disconnected. And then we've got our gudgeons on top there that will be mounted onto our boat's deck so that we can just simply flip this up and store it on our boat when it's not needed and very easily extend it back out again, take off that snap closure and it's ready to be used again. This does have an anodized aluminum tubing. So it's going to be very corrosion resistant, aluminum isn't going to rust or anything like that, but it's also very lightweight.
So this whole ladder, it's only about 11 pounds. It's going to be very easy to fold up, unfold. And it's also going to be strong enough to support up to 300 pounds. So as you're getting in and out, it's going to be very sturdy, stable for you.Our plastic steps here are an injection molded step. So they are going to give us about 11 and three quarters of an inch clearance here, is plenty of room to climb up and they are about two and a half inches deep.
So not a huge step, but still plenty for us to put our foot on. And you can see they do have that molded tread there to help prevent our wet feet from slipping as we're climbing up into our boat.On the backside, we do have a cushioned standoff, that's going to stabilize our ladder against our hull. Being cushioned, it's going to help protect our hull from any damage. And that's just going to sit right up there to give us a little bit more stability as we're climbing in and out. This will mount flush to your boat's deck with the included hardware. So you can see these pieces will just screw down onto your boat's deck with those cluttered screws.
And those are going to give us our mounting point for our gudgeons, slip those in there, and it will be nice and secure. Our gudgeons are stainless steel. So again, you're not going to have to worry about corrosion and they are going to hold up well for you.So overall, I think this is going to be a great option if you're looking for a folding deck ladder for your boat, I think you'll be very happy with the ease of use and the longevity of it.So that's going to complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com Thanks for watching.
