Setting up these invisible base plates for use with your etrailer tow bar is fast and easy. They easily bolt onto the ends of your tow bar. And because the tabs remain on your tow bar at all times instead of protruding from your vehicle , your car maintains a clean look when it's not being towed.
Using the etrailer invisible base plates to attach and remove your tow bar couldn't be easier. With the base plate tabs attached to your tow bar arms, simply insert the tabs into the receivers on your vehicle and twist to lock them in place. Insert the included pull pins to add an extra layer of security, ensuring the tabs stay put. To remove each arm, simply tug the pull pin to disengage the lock, twist the tow bar arm, and pull the tab out of the bracket.
Keep dirt and debris out of the base plate receivers with the included covers. These high-density polyethylene covers easily snap into place over each pull point when your tow bar is not attached. Limiting internal corrosion makes it easier to slide the tabs in and out and helps to prevent seizing so that the tabs don't get stuck.
If you have a tow bar from a different manufacturer, an adapter may be available. etrailer offers adapters for use with other tow bars so that you don't have to go through the added hassle and expense of replacing your tow bar when outfitting your new towed car with base plates.

Simple, bolt-on installation with included hardware.The box had holes in it and I was missing some of the hardware, so I’am having to wait on replacement hardware to be shipped. So now instead of waiting 4 or 5 days now I have to wait 8 to 10 days before I can mount it on my vehicle. If those parts make it.
I was able to mount the base plate according to the Video with a few kinks... The base plate kit had a weld support on the passenger side that was welded wrong and had to be ground down, also the safety cable quick links do not fit in the base plate hole as listed in the video.

I am sorry to hear that your base plate kit was not fitting the way it should have. Do you have pictures of the cable quick link not fitting in the base plate hole?
This base plate is well made and fit our GMC Canyon perfectly. I pulled the truck over 4000 miles last year and had no problems.

Easy install, just mount it, run the wire to the break operator, plug it in and you’re good to go!
Has performed as advertised. Etrailer personnel have always been helpful in advising the correct products and procedures
Everything fed up great had to cut the toe hook holes larger by about an inch so the bumper would line up.
They mounted easy after the stock tow hooks came off.
Installing was not so bad with help of video
Parts delivered timely. Installation directions online were helpful. The product looks good on my 18 Colorado.
I would like to have seen plugs for when the arms are removed to keep debris out of the holes.

Components fit and function well but, the rear bolt holes were slightly off causing some extra modifications. The etrailer installation videos were very helpful. However, there were several differences between my 2021 Colorado and the model in the videos. I suggest updating the cutouts in the instructions. They are very undersized this caused major difficulties reattaching the grill and facia.

Easy to install.
4 1/2 hours to install by two people (one a mechanic on his day off). But quality was very high, once everything was removed it was easy to install, but the safety cables did interfere with the reinstall of the facia (grill, bumper, etc). You need help and someone who's very strong to remount the facia.

Came with a part missing and I thought this will be impossible to get resolved.

did have to get a body shop to install them.
Has worked well for a year. Easy to hook up and unhook!

Goodness gracious, that is a cruddy situation that sadly is not uncommon. I am so sorry that your project got pushed back. When you finally receive all of your parts, I would love to hear your updated feedback about your experience and the product itself.
