Replacement "C" Pad for Yakima Q Tower (QTY 1)

Needed to build a yakima rack with Q-towers for an older vehicle and etrailer website was extremely useful for identifying the correct (no longer manufactured yakima parts) and they had all that I needed in stock and ready for delivery.1582855

The "C" pads for the Yakima Q Tower that I received from etrailer.com were black in color, not white like the picture or white like the original pads that came with my roof rack. I was a bit taken back by this discrepancy and was not sure whether these were actually the correct pads for my roof rack. However, when I took off the old pads they matched perfectly with the new. I know it is a small detail, and maybe somewhere during the order and delivery process you made me aware of this difference but I was just a little caught off guard. Yakima has changed color. Same pad, but it is no longer the translucent white.We will update our photos accordingly.

The Q tower pads I got from etrailer seem awesome! I've attached two photos, old/new. The old pads that came with the rack only lasted about two years before they quickly degraded (actually it was more like a year, I just put up with them for two :). They are basically solid goop now which you can slice with your finger nail. As you can see chunks also started to come off in my attempt to clean them, which is impossible. The new pads from etrailer seem to be made of a different material and I hope and see them lasting much longer than the original pads.

I also purchased the vinyl stickers for the metal clips to protect the car and they are working great as well. Whether they are also made of a different material and will last longer than two years (my old ones fell apart) I'm not sure but they seem great for now. Thanks for making the process easy, I was worried finding such a specific product would be hard and assumed I'd have to buy the same pads that came with the Q towers. 144922

I had lost one of the for "A" Pads for the Yakima Q tower. I bought 4 from etrailer.com and I am pleased with them. I replace all 4 of the "A" pads and kept the other three as spares. The replacements look to me to be better than the origionals.
