Hello, friends. Welcome back. I'm Steven with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at this Riser Kit for your Yakima MOD HomeBase. Now, in case you're not familiar, the Yakima MOD system is basically just a modular in-vehicle storage system that's composed of different sized drawers, boxes, accessories, and it's designed with, you know, people that camp, or go grocery shopping, or just whatever kind of daily use you want to use and put some things in so they're not, you know, sliding around in the back of your vehicle. Now this riser kit is simply gonna attach to the bottom of your Yakima HomeBase, and it'll raise the entire MOD system three inches off the floor of your cargo area.
Now that's gonna be nice because it's gonna allow the drawer to clear the hatch openings. Any kind of thing you have maybe in the cargo area of your vehicle, maybe you got some raised bumps or something that are built into the floor, this just gives you some more additional space underneath that. You could also possibly put more gear underneath it, something like that. Maybe you wanna put this up, so you can maybe slide some fishing poles underneath, or maybe some skis or something. I don't know, you know, whatever you're doing out there.
Now, it is a very simple installation. You simply remove your existing feet that are already on your Yakima MOD HomeBase, and you just simply use the same hardware that you removed and put these new three inch rise legs on there. So very simple design, very simple to use. Nice, heavy duty plastic. Everything here, all the metal inserts here that are threaded, those are gonna be where your hardware is gonna reattach to.
And those are nice powder coated steel, and they're really, really pressed in there, so it's not gonna go anywhere on you. Very nice design. Again, this will give you three inches of rise off the floor of your cargo area when you add these to your Yakima MOD HomeBase. They do have a very nice limited lifetime warranty. And again, Yakima makes some very, very good products.
