Turnbuckles For Frame-Mounted Tie-Downs on 2002 Ford F-350

Question:

Installing Anchor Guard Turnbuckle on frame mounted plates. I have an F350 2002 long bed dually. I recently purchased another truck mounted camper. It came with the Anchor guard turnbuckles. When I install them on my rig I was told to tighten down until 1/4 inch is between the O ring and the body of the turnbuckle. That seems like a lot to get that 1/4 inch Is this all correct.

So the TorkLift AnchorGuard Turnbuckles # TLS9013 won't actually work with frame-mounted tie-downs like you have on your 2002 Ford F-350. For turnbuckles that work with frame-mounted tie-downs, what you will need is one of the following options from TorkLift.

- TorkLift Basic SpringLoad Turnbuckles for Camper Tie-Downs # TLS9000

- TorkLift SpringLoad XL Turnbuckles for Frame-Mounted Camper Tie-Downs # TLS9050A

- TorkLift Locking FastGun Turnbuckles for Frame-Mounted Tie-Downs # TLS9529-2-LK

Please note you will need a total of four turnbuckles, so for the Basic SpringLoad and SpringLoad XL you would need to order a quantity of two as these come with two turnbuckles; the Locking FastGun comes with four. I have added links below to video reviews for you to check out as well.
