Tray Keeps Your Tools Close By

Telesteps Tool Tray

Whether you're replacing an outdoor speaker on your RV, jumping from worksite to worksite, or finally building that outdoor deck at home, this standoff and tool tray will make your job much easier. It'll keep all of your tools and hardware close at hand while you're working, so you won't have to root around in your pocket for hardware or have to go up and down the ladder multiple times for tools you forgot to grab. The tray has a variety of tool holders that will meet all of your maintenance needs. You can slip a hammer or mallet through the large holder on the tray floor and insert several screwdrivers into the smaller holders. Then you can place your tape measure and all of your hardware into the divided compartments by size so you don't have to spend a lot of time trying to find what you need.

Standoff Keeps Your Ladder Steady

Telesteps Standoff

You can use this tray as a standoff for your ladder as well. It has an anti-skid texture on the front that'll help stabilize your ladder while you're working on a taller RV or building on a windy day. Because it's rubberized, it also won't leave any black marks on your walls or mar your RV's paint. When used as a standoff, the front can be used on flat walls, but because it has a V-shaped design, you can use it on squared and angled corners as well.

Easy, Clip-On Attachment

Telesteps Tray Installation

This tray is incredibly easy to mount onto your Telesteps telescopic or A-frame ladder - you don't even need hardware! First, remove the clips from the tray and rest the indented grooves against the sides of the ladder, making sure the tray is situated just below the top rung. Then slide the clips back on until they click firmly in place, and slide the tray all the way up so the bracket snaps onto the top rung of your ladder.

Telesteps Tool Tray Strap

And maybe at some point you'll have to change out a light that's not too high, and you won't need to use the entire ladder. The included strap will secure any rungs you don't need together at the top of the ladder. You can do this by wrapping the two sides of the strap around the rungs and then use the buckle to clip it into place. The strap is adjustable, so you can cinch it tighter over the rungs if it's too loose.

Video Transcript for Telesteps Telescopic Ladder Standoff and Tool Tray Review

What's up everybody. It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we will be checking out this tool tray that goes with the Telestep ladders. Now it's gonna work with the Telescoping ladders that lean against when you climb up, or the A-frame ones like I'm on right now. What it does is it clips in here at the top, and gives you a tray and compartments for your screwdrivers. And I got some hardware over here, some screws.

That way, if you're gonna be up here for a while working on something, you don't have to have things in your pocket and dig for that while you're reaching up high. Like, let's say you're replacing that speaker or something. You don't have to be figuring out where everything is. It's all right here in front of you, and you get the job done way quicker that way. Let's check it out.

Let's see how easy it is to install. You're gonna line up these grooves with the sides of the ladder here. Just like that. And then we'll slide our clips in. Make sure the open side's on the way up.

That way you know you're sliding in the right way. Just match up these parts here with the grooves. Slide down, into place. And we're gonna do that on both sides. Now, so click in, so you don't have to worry about them coming back out.

Then we can just slide it to the top like this. And push this clip here, in on the handle. You'll hear another snap, and now it's in place. So with it in place, we'll use this ladder. You can now lean against the wall. And it has a little bit of a gap, so you can still get to your tools and stuff. And you're not face to face with the wall. It's very helpful. It's also rubberized here so you don't have to worry about it causing any marks on your wall or on your rig, if you we're to put it on there. You also have this corner part for if you put it up against a post. Maybe something that's a little harder to put something like this and lean it against, the post can fit in there. And it uses rubber to have a nice little grip, so it kinda steadies the ladder that way, too. It really opens up more possibilities to use this. This is an example of what I was telling you. I want to add it against the wall. This tray actually adds space between the ladder and the rig. And just gives me space to get those tools and access it. Otherwise, I'd be right up here against it. Also has a yellow strap, and that's good for if you don't use the full ladder. I'll come down a few rungs here, right there, and pull it up. Now it's not locked in place, but I just wanted to show you, at eye level. Okay, you can use this strap. Let's clip it in and you can singe it tight. And just holds the tray tighter to the ladder and just keeps everything nice and tight. Just in case you're wondering, you can lower the ladder with the tray still up there. It doesn't affect collapsing it back down at all. Just be careful that you don't leave anything heavy up there, just in case, when you go to take it off. Come around here, pull the tabs, everything stays in place. This would be an example of it working on a corner. Now, where we couldn't use this before and actually get a good lean on here, you can see it fits right in here in the groove of our tray. And it's pretty sturdy. I think the tray is gonna be a great addition to your Telestep ladder. It's the one thing that I thought of when I was working with these that it was missing. It's just a place to put your tools and your hardware. If you are working on something that takes a couple of different tools and screws and stuff, it's gonna really help you out and make those jobs way easier. Well, I think that does it. Thanks for hanging out. And I hope this helped..

I purchased this item in conjunction with the Telesteps Telescopic Ladder Item #TE34FR. Please see my review of that item for context. I purchased this item mainly for the "standoff" usage. The edge of this item has a rubber cushion around the outside edge that allows me to use it on my trailer without marring my gelcoat. I have NOT used the item yet but I am confident it will do just fine. The build of the item is solid. It "appears" that the tray can only be used at the very top of the ladder. I would like to know if it is possible to use on lower rungs when the ladder is extended. But, I'm very happy so far.
