Hey everyone, it's Evangeline and today we're taking a look at our replacement wheel strap and block. This also includes the hardware and will be used for your Swagman bike rack here at etrailer. So make sure you get the right parts, for the right bike rack, for the right situation. What's included here is going to be this hardware, this strap, and this block. It does not include the buckle itself or any other parts of your rear wheel tray. So depending on your bike rack you may need something extra, you may not need everything.
Check out our full description which gives you the actual bike rack to see if it matches yours. So if you're here just to replace the block, all you need to do is undo this strap and then you can take that out and then you go ahead and grab your new one and slide that right back in. So very simple. Now, to replace the strap assembly, it's a little bit more complicated. So use a 7/30 seconds wrench as well as a two millimeter Allen Keith to loosen your bolt.
Now, just pull out that strap and put your new one right back in. Get your new hardware and secure it with the same tools you used earlier. And that's it you're done with replacing parts of the strap of your Swagman bike rack..

These are still holding up after one year The original swagman straps were brittle and broke in less than one year in my warm salty weather . But these replacements straps so far have been great. No issues.

I bought two of these for future replacements on the bike carrier. I just figured sun and rubber are a bad mix and the strap in time will crack and break.

The replacement wheel straps are holding up well. Overall, the Swagman G10 Bike Rack is superior to other bike racks.
I ordered some replacement parts for my Swagman bike rack. Etrailer had the parts I was looking for, they shipped them to me in a couple of days. I used the parts to fix my bike rack, it's like new now. Etrailer has parts and replacements for RV's and accessories. They also have large selection of hitches, tires and wheels.
Would recommend Etrailer as a supplier,
I was sent here by Swagman customer support to get replacement straps for my Semi 2.0 - which was helpful enough. These straps DO in fact work with the Semi. However, be aware they are apparently Fat Bike straps, and at least twice as long as the original straps that came with my Semi. So, while they work, it's a lot more strap to fuss with every time you put a bike on the rack or take it off.

The weather here is very hard on the material these straps are made of. They eventually crack. Fortunately, replacement is easy and affordable with only one small bolt and nut to remove and replace to install the new strap assembly. Nicely thought out design.
