Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today I'm gonna take a look at this replacement Roadmaster Proportioning Valve Kit for the BrakeMaster 9,060 Series supplemental Braking Systems. Now this part here replaces the regulator assembly on your BrakeMaster flat towing brake system. This part will regulate the air flow from the compressor in your motor home to the BrakeMaster cylinder in the tow vehicle for truly proportional braking. Basically what happens is this unit senses the pressure with which the brakes are applied in your RV, the solenoid on the valve wires to your RV's taillight, and it opens when it receives the signal that your RV brakes have been activated.
And basically when it opens, it allows air from the compressor to be released into the included airline, and the amount of compressed air that is released will be proportional to the hydraulic pressure from your brakes. So this air then travels to the actuating cylinder that mounts in your towed car as part is made in the USA. And as we mentioned, this does fit the Roadmaster BrakeMaster Supplemental braking systems for RVs with hydraulic brakes. Works with the part number system RM-9060, and the part number RM-9060-900002. Comes with a nice set of installation instructions.
