Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a quick look at these Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform Rack Accessory Bars. These two 24-inch long crossbars will allow you to mount accessories onto your Pioneer platform. These bars will mount to the top of your platform and run the width of the tray. And then we've got the C-channels on the top here that will provide mounting points for your bike racks, kayak carriers, and other accessories. You can see we do have these Vortex strips that will slide through there to reduce any wind noise and drag, and you can cut those to length once your accessories are in place to fill up any of those gaps in the C-channel, make sure that wind isn't getting in there causing noise and that sort of thing.
They do include instructions to help you get these installed, to make sure everything is installed properly for you, and do include a tool to get this tightened down. But because these are from Rhino-Rack, you can trust they are going to work with your Pioneer platform rack, no worries about compatibility issues or anything like that. As usual, great quick shipping from etrailer. Everything I needed was in stock. These 24" C-channel from Rhino Rack are of typical excellent quality. I ordered these with the kayak hull saddles (side load, #580). All the right hardware was included, mounted easily to the Pioneer platform on my jeep. Very happy with everything. These channels have multiple uses for different mounting options (watersports, skiing, bikes etc..).

Update, Still very happy with the product. My boat is a hybrid kayakcanoe Native watercraft FX15 and I actually could have benefited from the longer accessory bars due t the width of the hull. If you are carrying a standard Kayak hulled boat, these are perfect. My boat is very secure once properly strapped down, even at highway speeds.
Great as always. I have used y'all for more years than I can count. I have the complete rhino rack on top, but I needed the same rails to match for my hood rack, worked great.
The quality control on these was sub standard. Each rail had about a 1" area of black paint missing on the inside track at the end of the rails. Otherwise no complaints.
Well I must say I am impressed--with the Rhino Rack and etrailer! This big ole Pioneer platform package arrived really quickly and was in perfect shape in and out--none of this already opened noise you hear about from sketchy vendors. The platform quality is also really good; I didn't expect it to be so good. I also really like how low it sits; they were obviously designing this to fit the Outback just right. I am a happy camper! Thanks etrailer for making this process worry/pain-free.

One year review.. the accessory bars perform great. The powder coating has not degraded one bit despite being subjected to weather. The only thing I changed were the bolts to match my 14-20 rack hardware, other than that I did not have to modify anything.
