What Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform Fits My 2004 Chevy Tahoe with Factory Crossbars?

Question:

Hi, I have a 2004 chevy Tahoe LT, with factory roof rails and cross bars. It has 2 bolt holes in 6 positions front, middle, and rear of each side rail. Will part RRRFRB1 be compatible with this vehicle?

I have a great solution for you to mount a Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform to your 2004 Chevy Tahoe LT. However, the Rhino-Rack Backbone Mounting System for Pioneer Platform # RRRFRB1 is not engineered top fit your bolt holes in your raised rails on your vehicle. This is because the # RRRFRB1 is only designed to install into Rhino-Rack RTS track systems.

With that being said, we do have an option for your 2004 Chevy Tahoe LT with factory crossbars. For that route, I recommend the Rhino-Rack Universal Pioneer Platform Rack for Crossbars - Aluminum - 58" Long x 47" Wide # RR42115BF or the Rhino-Rack Universal Pioneer Platform Rack for Crossbars - Aluminum - 48" Long x 38" Wide # RR42114BF. Both of these platforms are designed to clamp directly onto crossbars. In order to make sure that the clamps can grip your bars, I recommend measuring the height and width of your crossbars. If that measurement does not exceed 3" wide x 1-1/2" tall, you are good to go!

For adding roof rack accessories such as bike racks and kayak carriers, you need Rhino-Rack Accessory bars. For the # RR42115BF, I recommend the # RR43137B; for the # RR42114BF, I recommend the # RR43232B.
