It is designed to fit the 2002 to 2012 Dodge Ram and Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500 trucks. And on a custom fit part, I always like to recommend for you to go to our website, use our fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle, and it'll show you if this part will work for your application. Now, this is a semi custom bracket that will work with three space rails to install your fifth wheel trailer hitch to your vehicle. This part does work with the rails and the installation kit part number RP30035 that we do sell separately on our website.And I pulled one of those base rails just to show you.
This is what this is. This is just one of them. It does come with two rails. The base rails are what will sit in your truck bed, and provide necessary attachment points for the fifth wheel trailer hitches. Now, this semi custom bracket right here is specifically designed to fit on the rear passenger side of your vehicle.
So we'll replace one of the universal brackets in that part number the inaudible 00:01:04 installation kit. If you notice, this part is made of a sturdy steel construction with a black powder coat finish to help resist corrosion. And it does come with a set of instructions to show you where to install it. Hardware not included.Because of the tailpipe hanger bracket location on my 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 this bracket for the passenger side is the perfect fit. It allows a support without having to change the OEM positioning of the exhaust system.
I am very impressed with the fit and finish. Packaging from etrailer.com was inadequate. UPS man unloaded the package, rang the doorbell and drove away before I got outside. There was a lock washer laying on the ground and a bracket was hanging out of the box. We opened the package and inventoried everything, and to my amazement everything was there. Ordering process was very easy and my order shipped quickly. While on my lunch break at work I added 6 items to my cart and printed it so I could complete the order when I got home. About 4 hours later 3 of the 6 items increased in price. This hitch increased in price by $2, not a big deal I guess. I was able to find this item about $12 cheaper at another retailer and I provided this information to etrailer.com. Within a few hours they refunded me 110% of the difference. I am installing this on a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 short bed and the instructions are lacking. Maybe a professional installer who has done this many times would not have any problems, but the instructions leave some things to your imagination.

Hey, it's a bracket ... hard to say too much good or bad about the product. What was exceptional was the service. I had a difficult time finding this exact bracket, heck I had a difficult time knowing exactly waht bracket I needed but Nicole P. was awesome. Change my Reese mount from an 01 Dodge to 03 Dodge and had to have this bracket to make it work. I have been using my hitch and having no problems use both a fifth wheel and goose neck attachment by Reese. Would recommend the Reese hitch to anyone who is pulling a trailer. etrailer has everything needed for your trailer needs.
