Recommended Bracket Needed To Install Fifth Wheel Rail Kit For 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 Short Bed Pickup
Question:
regular cab I saw where you said in another answer that you would send installation instructions for the generic install kit that comes with this package. I would be very interested in seeing them. I used the instructions that came with them, which had a section that supposedly applied to my truck, and I can tell you that NOTHING matched as they said that it would. The installation was a nightmare. If I had not needed it done as quickly as I did... I would have packed it up and sent it back. Truly, it was terrible. In addition, the instructions themselves were terrible. But, I honestly dont think that the kit will fit the 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 the way that the instructions say that it does. I have not seen a video where it has been installed on that model of truck, and I can understand why. At any rate, if you have a different set of instructions to send, I would be very interested in seeing them. Regards,

The bed rail kit that is included with the Pro Series 5th Wheel Hitch, part # PS30129 is the Reese Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit, part # RP30035. The installation instructions are attached.
To make the installation kit you received work for your 2004 Ram, you will need the Fifth Wheel Mounting Bracket, part # RP58023. The instructions are attached and also come with the bracket.
