Will Reese 5th Wheel Rails from a Chevy Truck Fit a 2012 Ram 2500 Diesel

Question:

I bought a used pro series 15k 5th wheel hitch and rails. It came with all the hardware but it was installed on a Chevy truck. I dont really want to reuse the included used hardware. I have a 2012 ram 2500 diesel, will this kit #RP58430 fit my ram? Is this all I need to install the rails?

You should not reuse the old hardware anyway because it is meant to be torqued once. The replacement hardware kit # RP58430 will work with your 2012 Ram 2500 as will the rails. But if the brackets that mount under the bed are custom brackets for the Chevy they will not fit your Ram. If they are the universal L-shaped brackets then you will also need an additional bracket for your Ram, # RP58023. However the universal kit will not fit models that have overload springs.

If the truck has overload springs you would need to use # RP58186 and not RP58023.

Basically, I need to know what underbed brackets you have. The brackets mount to the truck frame and the rails attach through the bed to the brackets. I also need to know the bed length of your Ram. With this information I can determine exactly what you will need.
