Today we're gonna take a look at the Reese Quick and Small customer outboard brackets for the fifth wheel trailer hitches. Now this is a custom-fit part. They are designed to fit the 2019 Ram 1500 trucks, with either the 5 1/2-foot or 6 1/2-foot bed. Now, on a custom-fit part like this, I always like to recommend you to go to our website, use our fit guide, put in your year/model vehicle, and it'll show if this will work for your application.Now, these installation brackets will mount beneath your truck bed, and they provide the attachment points for the fifth wheel rails to attach to. Now these are designed to work with the extended-length base rails, which we do sell separately on our website. They're part number RP30153, and rails are designed to sit in the truck bed, and then they allow the installation of the fifth wheel hitch into the rails.These custom outboard brackets will mount to existing holes in your vehicle's frame, so it helps minimize drilling and measuring, so it cuts down your installation time by more than half when you compare it to the universal bracket system.Does include everything shown here.
Includes the two rear brackets, the two front brackets, the hardware for attaching the brackets to the frame, and a nice set of detailed instructions. It worked well but did have to re work the front brackets some with grinder to allow proper fit .
Very difficult to install - much harder than other brackets I have installed on other trucks. Thought the design could have made the installation easier somehow, but I'm not an engineer so what do I know. Once installed, after a lot of drilling, hole-cutting and reaming, the brackets attached to the hitch and I have had no problems towing.

Once installed and that was a VERY difficult process! and fitted with a hitch, it has been a great puller for our 27, 8000# fifth wheel.

No issues ,was a difficult install, I don’t believe an average home mechanic would be able to install, I have 20 years of mechanical experience, without some special tools and knowledge It would have been impossible.
