Video Transcript for Review of Redarc Battery Charger Parts - Battery to Fuse Holder Cable - RED66FR

Ellen: Hey everybody. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and we're taking a really quick look at the battery to fuse holder cable. This is for your REDARC mini fuse holders. So this is going to help you to get that load going from one area to the other, without any worries about any kind of voltage drops. So this is going to be able to handle the 50 amps to go from your battery to the fuse, and make sure that you don't have any issues with that.So on either end it does have some heat shrink to provide a good connection, and should be a nice little cable to make that connection pretty easily. One side is a bit bigger than the other.

So our battery lug hole end, that's going to be a five 16th or M8 ring terminal there. The other side for our fuse end, that is a three-sixteenth or an M5. The wire gauge is seven AWG, or American wire gauge. Measures about six inches from center to center of each of those holes. So it should give you about six inches between the two.

And again, the current rating for this is 50 amps. You don't have to worry about any kind of volt drops since it's just such a short length, and you can use this on both start and auxiliary batteries. It's compatible with all of the REDARC, BCDC, Manager30, and Red Vision products. And that's pretty much all there is to it for our quick look at the battery to fuse holder cable. I hope that this has been helpful in the setting if this is the right part for you. We do have a lot of other REDARC accessories here at etrailer.com, along with a whole bunch of other wiring accessories in general.

So be sure to check them out. Thanks for watching.

  • How to Charge Battery Bank in a Sprinter Van Camper Conversion
I have an option for you, but what you are describing will not be accomplished in the way you are wanting to do it because the 12v outlet will not provide enough power. Instead you would want to use the Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger # RED96FR. The Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger # RED96FR will pull power from your vehicle battery to charge your auxiliary battery. You would also want to pick up the 23-Amp MIDI Fuse Kit for Redarc In-Vehicle 12-Amp BCDC Battery Charger #...

  • Recommended Charger For Keeping Winch Battery Charged with Tow Vehicle
I have a way for your tow vehicle to keep your winch battery charged, but you won't be able to do it through the 7-way as that just doesn't offer much power, at best it will maintain an already charged battery. To charge a battery that's been used you'll need to use a DC-DC charger like the Redarc # RED96FR. This will tie into your vehicle's alternator and allow it to charge the winch battery even if it was dead as it's able to send much more power through the dedicated wiring. You'll...

The Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger Item # RED96FR will absolutely charge your 12 volt batteries on your boat trailer if wired correctly. It works with 12 and 24 volt systems and can be used with multiple types of batteries. Keep in mind the charge comes from the towing vehicle battery through the 7 pole plug. The BCDC charger disperses the charge to the auxiliary batteries on the trailer. Installing this is going to require the 23-Amp MIDI Fuse Kit Item # RED76FR, 30-Amp MIDI Fuse...

  • Parts Needed to Connect a Vehicle Battery to an Anderson Connector on a Trailer
I recommend using the Bulldog Winch Rear Wiring Kit # BDW20206. This kit is going to have 20' of wiring to run from your battery to the back of the truck. It has loops on one end to attach to the battery and an Anderson connector on the other end to be routed to the back of your truck. For a fuse or circuit breaker you can use the 40 Amp In-Line Circuit Breaker # 9510. You would wire the wiring kit from the back of the vehicle to the breaker and then jump from the breaker to the battery...
