Video Transcript for Rear View Safety Inc Backup Cameras and Alarms RVS-DS1 Review

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the review safety 130 degree wireless backup camera. Now this wireless camera is for us with RVS-2CAM or RVS-4CAM systems. Those are sold separately. A rear view camera, or a wireless backup camera, is designed to pair wirelessly with the monitor in which you'd view whatever it is that the camera is seeing. The only wiring that you need to connect is basically these two wires right here. You have your power wire and you have your ground wire. So on that harness, you do have a grommet to cover up the hole that your wires pass through as it goes through the body of the RV.

Keeps out dirt, grime and moisture, so grommet's included. You got the antenna here on the back to increase that signal. When it comes to connecting to the monitor, you got the pair button back here. And basically what this camera does is it really helps increase overall awareness, safety, and visibility. It features 130 degree ultra-wide viewing angle. It has nine infrared lights for ultimate night vision.

The infrared's automatically adjust based on the environment. It features an IP68 rating, so it has a nice waterproof casing to it. It comes with your installation hardware. Again, two wire design, one for power, one for ground. It's got this shade system on it, so that's designed to reduce the amount of glare. So that if this is in direct sunlight, you can actually adjust this shade to reduce the amount of light that's being fed through the camera, which makes it more visible on your monitor. When it comes to the overall measurements of the base, measure this going in this direction, we get a measurement of about three inches to maybe three and 1/16.

Right here is about one and 3/4 inches. And as you can see, the way that I have it set up now, I have it set up to where it's straight up and down, and that's because I want to give you the overall, basically depth measurement. In this case it's about three and 7/8 inches. Now this is adjustable, so you can pivot the camera. You can also adjust that shade independently. The mounting hardware to lock that shade into place once you get it adjusted the way you want it, that's all included. Now please note, aluminum causes interference to the wireless connectivity, so if you have an aluminum trailer, it is recommended to go with a wired system.

That's gonna do it for today's look at the rear view safety 130 degree wireless backup camera.

  • Best Wireless Camera System for Chevy Express Van and Trailer
The wireless camera system that I recommend for using on both the tow vehicle and trailer is going to be the Rear View Safety Wireless Backup Camera System part # RVS-2CAM. This system is wireless meaning there won't be a power wire run between the camera and monitor. The large 7" color monitor is going to give an excellent picture of both behind the trailer and tow vehicle. Please note, the system comes with only one camera so in order to get the other you need the Rear View Safety Wireless...

This system has a 7" quad view display and built in DVR that accepts SD cards up to 128 GB for storing the recordings. The Rear View Safety Wireless Backup Camera System # RVS-4CAM comes with 1 camera, but can support up to 4 cameras. • Backup Camera Options for a 2018 Ford F-150 Towing an RV
I do have some options for you to add a backup camera to your towing setup, but we do not have anything that will tie in directly to the camera system on your 2018 Ford F-150. The best option would be for you to use the Rear View Safety Wireless Backup Camera System # RVS-4CAM which is wireless and comes with 1 backup camera. I recommend this option because you can add up to 3 more cameras and look at them in a "quad view" on the included 7" monitor. You can add additional cameras with...

  • Camera Setup for Rear of Tow Vehicle and Trailer
The easiest way to pull that off would be with the Furrion Vision S system part # FOS05TASF which comes with a single rear camera that you could put on your van or on your trailer. And then for a second camera for the other location you'd just need the part # FCN48TASF. If you wanted side cameras too you could then use the part # FCE48TASL. This whole setup is wireless too which means that there would be minimal wiring required.

  • Recommended 4 Camera Constant On System with Quad Monitor
The Rear View Safety Backup Camera System - 4 Camera Setup - Quad View Monitor # RVS-062710 is the only system we have that comes with all 4 cameras and monitor to meet your needs. This system require each camera's power to be wired into the running lights so you will have constant power when the running lights are on. The Rear View Safety 130-Degree Wireless Backup Camera # RVS-DS1 is designed to work with the Rear View Safety Wireless Backup Camera System # RVS-2CAM or # RVS-4CAM. • Recommended Wireless Observation System with 2 Cameras
I reached out to my contact at Rear View Safety and she did say that you wouldn't be able to use two of the Wireless Hitch Camera Systems # RVS-83112 at the same time. The signals may interfere with each other and you would also have to find a way to power 2 monitors as you would not be able to view both cameras on a single unit. For a wireless system that can handle 2 different cameras with a single monitor I recommend taking a look at the Rear View Safety # RVS-2CAM along with an additional...

  • Recommended Second Camera For Wireless Rear View Safety Camera System
A second camera can come in a couple different forms I recommend for your system. The Rear View Safety Wireless Backup Camera - 130-Degree Viewing Angle, # RVS-DS1 is upgraded camera for the # RVS-2CAM system. However, the Rear View Safety Wireless Transmitter # RVS-DS can make any RVS wired camera function with the system. You should note this transmitter is not waterproof. For instance, the Rear View Safety Backup Camera - Surface Mount, # RVS-776 can be used with that transmitter...
