Video Transcript for Review of Rear View Safety Inc Backup Cameras and Alarms - RVS-771

Today, we're going to take a look at the rear view safety 130 degree backup camera with the night vision. Now this part will include everything I laid out here on the table. It comes with the camera, comes with the 16 foot extension cable, the RCA adapter to connect to your external display, this female power cable for RCA adapters, and the installation hardware. Now this is a color CCD camera, it's built with heavy duty zinc metal, which encases the 410,000 pixels in the 2.1 millimeter sharp lens. It does have a viewing angle of 130 degrees, 620 TV lines, which means you'll get best quality image with no blind spots. It also offers a built in microphone, which will let you hear what is behind you. And they do offer the 18 infrared lights on it, this will allow you to see up to 50 feet even in the darkest night.

And they do put foam around the lens to help guarantee no glare from these infrared lights. It does have an IP69K rating, which will mean it will withstand all types of weather conditions. And it does boasts a 20G vibration rating and 100G shock rating, as well as uses these aircraft grade cable connections. But that should do it for the review on this rear view safety 130 degree backup camera with the night vision.

Camera is still working well. Extremely clear and works as it should

by:

The camera has excellent clarity and resolution I hung it on the back of my travel trailer and hooked it to my AV radio in the cab of my truck to really beautiful picture and no leaks and no problems

Except that the LEDs tend to reflect back into the lens a little bit and burn out the image on rare occasions one of these days I'm going to pop it open and block the LEDs because at night anything I care about has headlights on anyway
So one year later still functioning perfectly and I'm very happy with it

  • Can You Use Mito Corporation Cameras with the Rear View Safety 9" Color Monitor
I contacted the manufacturer in regards to your question, they informed me that the Rear View Safety Color Monitor # RVS-6139Q uses cameras with 5 pin connectors, so your Mito cameras with 6-pins would not work unless you wanted to use the Rear View Safety Splice Kit # RVS-SPK01 to splice your cameras in. They did strongly recommend that their cameras, like the Rear View Safety Backup Camera # RVS-771, Rear View Safety Side Camera - Driver's Side # RVS-775L and Rear View Safety Side Camera...

  • Recommended Replacement For An RVS-770 Rear Back Up Camera
Thanks for the picture Karen, Since you have an RVS-770 camera you can replace it with the Rear View Safety Backup Camera # RVS-771. This is going to come with extra wiring that you can hold onto in the event that you have any issues with the wiring already in place.

  • Rear View Safety Back-Up Camera Meant To Be Installed On the Back of a Motorhome
The Rear View Safety Backup Camera # RVS-MV1 was designed more for vehicles like cars, not motorhomes. As such it is designed to be installed on and under-hang which orientates the camera differently than it would be on the back of a motorhome. There is not an "easy" fix/way to get the picture to flip. You best option would be to use a camera designed to be oriented in the way you are needing, like the Rear View Safety Backup Camera # RVS-771. This camera can be mounted how you are needing...

  • Rear View Camera Recommendation for 2011 Volkswagen Tiguan
The Rear View Safety Backup Camera # RVS-771 that you referenced is a great solution for adding a back up camera to a vehicle that has a monitor setup already. The connections are standard RCA cables. Or for a kit that includes a monitor you'd want the part # RVS-770613-NM.

  • Availability of Camera Backup Kit Compatible with RCA Connectors
Although we do have camera kits that have RCA connectors, like Rear View Safety # RVS-771 and # RVS-778, unfortunately there are no adapters for the Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera and Hitch Aligner System # HM50002 to work with RCA connectors. If you have a specific camera system you are trying to utilize just let me know what it is and I can check to see if we have something compatible.

  • Can Trailer Rear View Camera Be Connected to Rear View Mirror Monitor on 2010 Ford F-350
You can potentially use an aftermarket camera with the rear view mirror monitor on your 2010 Ford F-350 if it has regular RCA video connections to it. In that case I recommend picking up these parts from Rear View Safety: - Backup Camera # RVS-771 - Trailer Tow Quick Connect Kit # RVS-213-613 This gives you all of the wiring you need as well as a way to easily connect and disconnect the wiring from your trailer and tow vehicle. If your monitor doesn't have these connections then you'll...

  • Difference Between Rear View Safety Camera and Quick Connect Kits for Multiple Trailer Use
The difference between those 2 Rear View Safety Backup Camera System with Trailer Tow Quick Connect Kits is the Kit # RVS-770613-213 comes with 1 camera while the Kit # RVS-770614-213 comes with 2 cameras. They both have the ability to connect up to 3 cameras and they come with the Tow Quick Connect Kit so it's easier to connect the cameras up to your vehicle side with the monitor. I really like the wired backup camera systems because if something goes wrong it's a lot easier to troubleshoot...

  • Can Additional Cameras be Added to Rear View Safety Backup Camera System RVS-770613-NM
Yes, you can add two side view cameras using part # RVS-775L (flush mount) or part # RVS-771 (mounts on bracket) and pair them with the Rear View Safety Backup Camera System # RVS-770613-NM. You can purchase a whole kit that comes with 3 cameras with part # RVS-770615 instead if you'd rather get everything in one package.

  • Rear View Safety Camera Availability that Could Potentially Wire to Monitor
The Replacement Camera # RVS-257CW is a replacement for the wireless camera setup part # RVS-155W. The wiring you see for the camera is for powering it. It would take a wireless receiver on the same frequency to pick up the signal. The replacement camera that would be better suited for what you are looking for is the part # RVS-771 which has the standard RCA cables for transmitting audio and video signals. If you can find a transmitter from Tadi Brothers that can broadcast the signal needed...

  • Is There A Backup Camera For 2021 Ford F-250 Super Duty?
I have a possible solution for you, but the backup camera you were looking at is not compatible with your 2021 Ford F-250 Super Duty. While there are not any custom backup cameras for your vehicle at this time, you could use Rear View Safety Backup Camera - Weatherproof - Night Vision - RCA Connectors # RVS-771 if your factory screen has RCA or 5 pin round plug-in for the camera. If your Ford's screen doesn't have RCA or 5 pin round input for a camera then I highly recommend looking into...

I have a solution for you, but there is not a 13-pin camera for the # RVS-6033; that RVS monitor is designed to be used with the included adapter wiring that plugs into the 13-pin monitor plug and has additional wiring for 3 cameras and the power for the monitor. This adapter plug is included with the # RVS-6033. You have 2 options to install depending on the way you want the camera to be mounted on the trailer. The Rear View Safety Universal Backup Camera System # RVS-770619N has a 7" monitor that clips on to your existing mirror. It comes with a box that allows up to 3 camera inputs. • Should RV Security Camera Have Power at All Times
A security camera system, as opposed to a backup camera like # RVS-771 that only operates when the vehicle is in reverse or an observation camera like # FOS05TASF that you can turn on when you want to, will need constant power to give you its security benefit. Many RVs like your triple-axle Cyclone are now coming pre-wired for this important feature. It would be possible to place a switch in the camera power circuit but this would mean you run the risk of having the system off when you need it.
