The Tire Linc system is a very good TPMS. The repeater was easy to install, as were the individual tire sensors. etrailer has been great in price and delivery.

For me the Tire Linc works intermittent. I can't get one sensor to work. I changed the battery tried to pair and still not working. We also bought the alert for inside our tow vehicle. This audible goes off to much. It may be because of the intermittent working of the sensor. When it goes off our travel companion starts barking so we don't use it. Seems we have $500-600 invested.

This item must have been sitting on etrailer's shelf for a long time because the batteries in the tire caps were dead, so I had to buy brand new ones. The tirelinc instructions were 4 years old! I had to call Lippert to figure out how to use the software because the instructions that came with the product were obsolete. Disappointed that I paid over $xxx for this and had to deal with these issues.

by:

It was a very simple install and set up. I however received many false alarms and no connection alerts. I had an electrical issue with my 2000W inverter and it fried the TPMS. I will most likely purchase another once I get reimbursed by Keystone RV for multiple destroyed components of my RV due to the inverter malfunction.

by:

So far the sensors are hit and miss. In the morning, before starting out, I can get all 4 tires to show up on my phone at the same time. As the day progresses and I check either while moving or stopped at a rest area or fuel station, I get any where from zero to three that show up but never all 4. Don't know why it works before we leave but not after we get on the road, but its better than nothing.

by:

I purchased the Tire Linc TPMS since my 5W has Lippert's One Control installed. I am very disappointed with Tire Linc. I will be researching a different TPMS for my 5W.

by:

It quit working 4 months ago, I don’t know how to fix it. I have towed my trailer 8,000 miles without any signals from the tire monitors. It worked good for about 6 months.

by:

I have a new 5th wheel that already had the docking station installed. I just needed the brain box. Once I put the box in the docking station and uploaded the app, the install was easy. The instructions were not quite the same for my camper, though it did not take long for me to figure out what to do. I am not a techy, so if I can do it anyone will be able to. I haven't pulled the camper since install, though I will provide follow up feedback. It goes without saying. etrailer is an excellent resource for trailer parts, the cost for this device was the best at etrailer. Thanks to all.
Randy

This TPMS has worked perfectly from the day I installed them on all 4 tires on my RV 5th wheel. Going to add them to the golf cart trailer I am towing behind it.

tire sensors are reliable and accurate

Fast ship of good product at great price. Love your You Tube videos.

Instructions were very poor. Required 3 calls to tech support. The first 2 didn't help, the second call was in a hurry and couldn't stay on the line until unit was operational. 3rd call (Nathan) was great. I learned that there were different versions of this and that the later version (mine) didn't match the information provided in the instruction. One sensor was bad. I had ordered 2 extra, as it comes with 4 and I needed 6. Discovered that there are 2 in each box, so I had paid for 2 extra. Good thing, as I had extra to replace the faulty one. It took over 1 hour on the phone with Nathan to get these working, mostly because of the poor and outdated instructions. One of the issues was the "pairing sequence". This is the order in which you install the sensors. Instructions stated that this was critical. Instructions showed this for trailers, but not class A motorhomes. I learned from Nathan that my version did not require this. If the instructions had matched the devices that I received, it would have been much easier. Bad sensors seem to be the norm for this product from what I've seen in the reviews. So far they are working. It has been a couple weeks.

We recently purchased a new travel trailer that came "tire linc ready" - meaning it has the mounting bracket installed and wired for power. We wanted to complete the system, so made this purchase. It arrived on the scheduled day and was as easy to install as the ads said. Before beginning installation, I made sure all four tires were inflated to their normal operating pressure of 65 psi, then simply followed the directions. After installation was complete, all the sensors read 65 psi, so I have confidence that the system is working.

by:

With my trailer already pre wired for the install, the setup was even easier. Once app was loaded on my phone the software setup and link to the TPMS sensors was easy.

I also purchased the alert indicator at the same time. I had to perform the pairing sequence twice to link the alert indicator to the TPMS system, but nothing beyond that for setup issues.

I am glad to have the extra security of being able to monitor my dual axle trailer tires in real time. No doubt this will improve towing safety along with time and money.

by:

I followed the instructions to the letter. The installation went just as described in the instruction / installation manual. We have not yet used them in actual towing / traveling; but will later this week.

Two suggestions:
1) Sell a package with an odd number of sensors; one for each tire and one for the spare tire. Or in the alternative sell single sensors so I can purchase just one more for the spare tire.
2) Modify the smart phone app to work with CarPlay ... so I can see the tire pressure on my dash display as well as my phone.

by:

Confusing initial setup with smartphone. Smartphone interface is clunky and requires location services to read tire oressure. Basically the sensors work great and the app sucks.

by:

One year later and it still works. I have a 26 foot dual axle trailer and no issues with bluetooth connection. Interface is simple and you can set tolerance levels as you would expect.

by:

My RV came pre-wired so I didn't need the dock . easy to add to my one control app .Had a minor issue getting the sensors to "found " in the app ,but work great so far

by:

Works as advertised. I bought the remote monitor to use when towing my fifth wheel.

by:

Intermittent connection issues.

  • Is It Normal For A Lippert Tire Linc Repeater Dock To Already Be Installed On A New Motorhome
Lippert is deeply in the pockets of pretty much every trailer/motorhome manufacturer so they most likely installed the repeater block so that you'd be more inclined to purchase their sensors over other brands. The Tire Linc OneControl TPMS w/ Signal Booster for RVs and Trailers # LC37VR is also compatible with Lippert's OneControl systems so it could also have been installed to match up that system if you have a OneControl touch screen. • Information And Specifications On Tire Linc TPMS For RVs And Trailers
My contact at Lippert was able to give me some information regarding the Tire Linc TPMS # LC37VR. The size of the sensor is fairly small, measuring about 3/4" thick and weighing 11 grams each. The battery life will depend on how much the system is used, but generally the batteries last 1-2 years. Set-up time is minimal; the sensors simply screw onto the valve stem and the signal booster will be wired up to 12 volts. The maximum range of communication is 33 feet, however, Lippert recommends...
