Hello everybody, this is Jeff with etrailer.com. Today we take a look at the quick connect straps for your Hollywood Racks trunk-mount bike racks. It's for a quantity of two straps. Now these quick connect straps will let you mount your Hollywood Racks trunk-mount bike rack on vehicles with glass hatches or hatches with narrow edges. Now, these straps are designed to be used in conjunction with the hatch anchors, which we do sell separately on our website. It's part number HR44FR, and they are listed on this product page as a related product.
Just to show what we're talking about, there's a picture of the hatch anchors. And if you notice on the anchors, they have a D-ring on one end of the strap. And then on the other end is this dog bone design. And the idea is you open your hatch, drop the dog bone in between the hatch and the glass and enclose it, and that'll secure it in place. And then that strap with the D-ring is hanging out.
TUG2 designed to attach to these quick connect straps. And it is a very easy installation. Basically you remove the hooks that are on the straps that we're included with your bike rack, and replace it with these quick connect straps. Basically the ends of these straps go connect to your Hollywood bike rack. And in this end here, that has the cover on it, let me just zoom in so you know what we're talking about, If you, has a hook and loop fastener, you just unhook it.
And you'll notice there's a rubber coated hook in there, and that hook is what's designed to hook to those D-rings that we talked about that are on the end of the hatch anchors, and the hatch anchor is already attached to your vehicle. So you would put the D-ring into the hook, right here, and again, your bike rack is attached to this. So once you get your hatch anchor hooked to there, close the cover, push the hook and loop fasteners to seal it, and then this nice cover over it protects the hooks from doing any damage to your vehicle's paint. And then again, all you have to do is then tighten this to pull up your trunk-mount bike rack to your vehicle. And again, this end is hooked up to the hatch anchor so it'll tighten down.
So it's a very simple installation. This is for a quantity of two straps. The length on each strap is about 54". But that should do it for the review on these quick connect straps for the Hollywood Racks trunk-mount bike racks..
