Today we're going be taking a look at the panel lock left hand spring latch. Now spring latches can be used for a variety of applications. Spring latches are reliable and used primarily on hinged doors and panels. This unit features nice smooth trouble free action. It's going to provide easy access as well as secure closure. It's going to feature the cone style pin end.

It's going to feature a tensioned tempered spring that provides positive pin release and return. At the end of that spring on this end is what's called a C-ring. That's going to prevent spring over travel and snagging. It's going to feature the solid mounting base, no pre-drilled holes. This unit can be screwed, riveted or welded when it comes to the installation.

It's a stainless steel construction, it's strong and durable as well as rust and corrosion resistant. The pin diameter on this unit is a quarter of an inch. The extension, that's how far the pin extends out from that base, it's going to be half an inch. The handle length, measuring from the base to the end of the pin on this side, the handle length is going to be pretty close to half an inch, maybe 9/16 of an inch. Then the grip area, just measuring from this edge of the pin to the end, that elbow portion that's going to measure about 11/16 of an inch. The body is going to give us a length measurement of 2 and 3/4 of an inch long.

Then the width from this edge right here to the very back that's going to give us a measurement of an inch and a quarter. The overall length from edge of pin to edge of pin, it's going to give us a measurement of around 3 and 3/4 of an inch. That's going to do it for today's look at the panel lock left hand spring latch.
