Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and today we're taking a quick look at the duplex receptacle. This is going to be your 120 volt style plug for your RV or really anywhere that you'd want to use it. It is going to be rated again at 120 volts or 15 amps. Or 15 amps at 120 volts AC. And it's going to have two plugs, so we can plug our accessories in there, get everything run up and power our accessories.

It does have the GFCI protection, or the ground fault circuit interrupter, which is just that fast acting circuit breaker. It's designed to shut off the electrical power in the event of a ground fault, so your RV won't go up and smoke because of some faulty wiring. So should be pretty similar to the outlets that you have in your home. It does come with instructions on how to get everything wired up.It's easy to install into just about any electrical box, and it also meets or exceeds the UL requirements for tripping time. The UL requirements, that just means that it's tested by a third party and meets their standards for that.

So as far as the size, it's about two and a quarter inch by four and a half inches. And then the overall depth is just about an inch and three quarters. So pretty comparable to your home plug-ins. It does have the test and reset buttons, so you can get everything tested out or reset as needed. But that's pretty much going to do it for our look at the duplex receptacle.
